We chose to make
a chair out of plastic, because it is a material that is strong, durable and easy to clean.

Most monobloc
chairs — that is,
chairs formed from a single piece
of material as exemplified by Verner Panton's gorgeously sculptural Stacking S
chair — are molded
out of environmentally harmful
plastic.
Another highlight from the show was Jonathan Kaiser's Janet II, a personal, portable vessel made
out of garbage including
chairs and
plastic bags that show the second life that «garbage» potentially can have.
Other highchair models have the advantage
of wipe - clean
plastic trays, variable seat tilt position, wheels, etc, but the Stokke
