I love DIY projects but have yet to tackle
chalk paint projects.
Speaking of that, because of this I always do
my chalk paint projects indoors or out of super warm temps and direct sunlight.
On all DIY
chalk paint projects, I have used clear wax.

If I wasn't writing posts, working on social media and editing photos and graphics, I was out in the garage working on a few
chalk paint projects.
BTW — I do love all
the chalk paint projects I'm seeing and wanted to give it a try but the more I read about it, the more I'm thinking it is less expensive and easier to stick with my old method??
And here are a few of my own

I had already previously covered some books with burlap following your tutorial and I do have some white
chalk paint so this will be a quick weekend
project for me tomorrow.
I'm not a total
chalk paint convert, but I think it's a great option for certain
projects.

I ran upon your fireplace / mantel
project (looking for a
chalk paint recipe) and fell in love with it.

paint the wood planks I ended up making my own DIY
chalk - like
paint for this
project.

I have yet to try milk
paint, mostly because I need
projects to have a fast turn around rate and since you have to sand pieces first -LCB- which I hate doing -RCB- I always go to my trusted
chalk paint.
I also use
chalk paint, it dries so quick and comes in handy for
projects I want to
paint and finish quickly!
I've been using
chalk paint for a couple of years for my furniture
projects.
Not only does
chalk paint give a
project vintage look right off the bat, antiquing and distressing techniques come out much better on a
chalk paint finish hands down.
Three layers of yellow
chalk paint, a little bit of sanding to distress the
paint, and sealing with a clear wax took about 2 hours, where as the rest of the
project took 3 days!

Chalk paint (or something similar, like milk
paint) is the way you want to go if you want to antique or distress a
project after
painting it.
Some of the

I want to try this method, I've been making my own
chalk paint, and
painted my china cabinet, and used the Minwax dark wax to antique it, it's not for everyone, but the look is just what I want, old world look, not even put it has character, I am doing my coffee table as well, I find very ornate pieces cheap and
paint a base cream
chalk paint and then go over it with the Minwax dark, let it sit for 15 min and buff, then add another layer of wax, its so much fun, but the problem I'm having is I'm ADD and I have 5
projects going at once!
I've been wanting to do a
project with
chalk paint for ages, but the prices are prohibitive and I find they never have just the right color.
