Funny how we all like certain things, I for one don't care for the feel of
chalk paint so I
stick with my stain finishes.

stick just fine even on a darker color.
My review and thoughts on
chalk paint at that time were that I would
stick with my old latex
paint when
painting furniture.

Hi Sharon — I have never done it, but on the Annie Sloan
Chalk Paint site, it mentions that you can
paint right over the wax as the
paint will
stick to anything.
If adding whiting to
paint made it
stick better to surfaces do you not think that Bher, and Dulux and Pratt and Lambert would have done that already????? Adding whiting to latex just makes it look similar to
chalk paint....

chalk paint will
stick to the surface.
But you do need to make sure it is clean or the
chalk paint will not
stick.
