I have been looking into different
chalk painting techniques a lot lately, trying to find what works for me and what doesn't.
Also, do you ever do classes uses
chalk paint techniques.
Hi there, I am going to try
the chalk paint technique on a vanity I found in a thrift store for cheap, but not your kind of cheap and mine stunk as well LOL.

Tip: using cardstock becomes a little messy... if you are using
chalk paint you can always sand down the sloppy edges and then finish it off with a dry brush
technique in the old white to fade some of the those not so nice spots.
Also, keep in mind that if you pick up a piece you'd like to
paint using this
technique, and it's already stained or
painted, you can skip this step entirely and simply apply a top coat of
chalk paint.
This rustic table has been given a complete makeover with
Chalk Paint ® using one of Annie's favourite decorative
painting techniques called sgraffito.

Not only does
chalk paint give a project vintage look right off the bat, antiquing and distressing
techniques come out much better on a
chalk paint finish hands down.
I have been hesitant to dive into the
chalk paint / clear wax
technique, but I think your dresser / changing table just pushed me over the edge!

You can use any kind of water based
paint for this
technique, I like to use
chalk paint.
Different mixed media
painting techniques, using glue, string, card, wax, paper to manipulate and to create texture with acrylic

paint and see what other mixed media layering one can achieve with
chalk and oil pastel as well to layer over the acrylic
paint.
The exhibition includes Simmons's first
chalk drawings on blackboards done in the artist's «erasure»
technique along with sculptures,
paintings, photographs and a 1992 wall drawing not seen since it's first presentation at the Drawing Center.
For more than two decades, Simmons has honed his «erasure
technique,» a method of hand - smudging and sculpting wet
paint to create the shimmery effect of partly erased
chalk.

technique in a few places, but they all used
chalk paint.

techniques under a botanical theme.
Even though the surface of this wood slice is
painted with chalkboard
paint the hand lettering was
painted on using the
technique of printing it on a piece of paper, rubbing the back with a piece of
chalk and tracing it onto the wood with a pencil.

You can do this with most any brand of
chalk paint, it's really the
technique that will make it look weathered, and the colors that will make it appears as a certain type of weathered wood.

So... I started with white
chalk paint, then proceeded with your
technique.
Chalk Paint ™ by Annie Sloan goes on just like any other
paint, however - the application ability is amazing in that using different
techniques and color combinations - the end effect can vary drastically!
I'm super curious about trying
chalk paint, but still swear by the wax
technique today.
