SO many blogs rave about how easy it is to make their own chalkpaint, but I get a glumped mess.

Homemade Chalkpaint: Add 1 teaspoon or less of cornstarch or unsanded grout to a 2 oz bottle of craft paint, mix and apply.

To lighten and brighten my favorite space I repainted the mirror with Pure White Annie Sloan Chalkpaint and leaned it on the mantle.

I painted my bathroom vanity a light grey (with chalkpaint) and it definitely has a light blue look to it.

The chalkpaint goes a long way (if you decide to buy some!)

No I hardly ever sand any pieces I'm going to chalkpaint.

If you use chalkpaint you don't need to sand the painted parts.

I like the chalkpaint signs and what to try something like that.

I've used DIY chalkpaint a lot (I use plaster of paris) and it always works perfectly EXCEPT when I've tried white.

think you are talking about a blackboard / chalkboard surface as opposed to a Chalkpaint ie flat milk like paint not meant for writing on with chalk but as a flat finish on furniture.

That being said, I have used Annie Sloan's chalkpaint, and I. LOVE.
