Welbeck is the only positive really as he is a slight improvement over Giroud, but it also means
no chance of a better striker in January like Cavani, Martinez or Huntelaar.
Not exact matches
Nothing you could ever do to Giroud would ever make him come
good just nothing. Its not a formation set up that gets a player to dribble, score, be world class, be dependable, wow the crowd and the like. Its the players» own ability that makes him do that.Once you don't have it ya ain't gat it brother.Read my lips!!!!! Once ya don't have it ya ain't gat it.As simple as ABC.So I expect this to be another de ja vu case and waste
of time if Giroud and Alexis are paired.I'm even shocked it's coming from Henry. He should rather be giving us more reasons why we need a new
striker and why we would fail if we don't get the new
striker.Forget Giroud's stats for a moment and judge him by how he plays when you are watching him.You would realize that given the same
chances at Arsenal
strikers who are not even world class can do better.I want a new
striker even if not world class and to be honest its not necessarily a world class
striker that wins you a league but just increases the
chances of winning it.Peace!!!!

chance to play against West Brom because we have seen signs

goodness i can't believe it people will still defend him.You know something when Giroud misses many
chances like at Monaco i did not criticize him even based on that you know why?its because he has always not been clinical. The only way a team can improve is by indentifying its problems and solving them.Arsenal has Giroud as the main cf and Welbeck as backup to him.Giroud has done
well scoring some goals some too important but collectively he does more harm than
good.Do not use moments to judge a player judge him based on content.Giroud does not excel in many games than he excels in games. As a main cf you need to be consistent.I see people here saying Giroud can not dribble he cant do this he cant do that but its a bit crazy to criticize him for that because every player has his own style.Giroud limitations as a player costs arsenal and will cost us a lot. Most importantly his poor finishing which has cost us several times. Not
good enough.His style
of play is ok for us but a
striker who can take on players and run behind defences very
well would make us very strong and also should be clinical. For Welbeck he needs to works on his finishing and composure by doing the basic things right. He rushes infront
of goal too much. For now he is just above average. However he can excel if he works on improving.Giroud and Welbeck will always be a pain in arsenal's neck for most part. Some will call me stupid but hey at least i want to analyze the problem.People may support Giroud or Welbeck to lead the line next season but as the saying goes if you fool me once shame on you but if you fool me twice shame on me.Will you let Giroud and Welbeck fool you again?

striker, we will not finish in the top 3 this year

I just don't know what's wrong with Arsenal fans.Sure I get it as humans we all have our preferences but things start to look funny when we begin to bash and criticize a player like he's useless.I just don't get why Arsenal fans do nt want Vardy.Oh is it because he's not world class, he's English, He's not a big name, he's a fairy tale, you feel all he does is run, he's not got a
better history in footballing until now or you feel Giroud is
better or what?I really pity Arsenal fans honestly.I would've taken Jamie Vardy in a heartbeat.Sure he's not the
best option out there. But I'll say this and say it again it's not a world class
striker that wins you a league but rather just increases your
chances of winning the league. If you've watched Arsenal clearly from the time since Henry left you realized that it's more
of not being able to find a clinical
striker.Eduardo was not a already a finished product when he started his career here yet he was clinical and was on world class form until injury. What Arsenal need now is a world class finisher if they can't get a world class
striker.

chances but he miss the ball all the time, slowing the tempo, no pace no speed old story, on one on one no way he can pass the player, dribble like my grandma... and you tell me how the guy with this attributes can be no. 1
striker and play in the
best league in the world and probably one
of the
best clubs in the world... as long as i am alive i would ask myself how giroud stray in arsenal and be no. 1
striker... even my little cousin make a jokes about him, its obvious like a day... guy is laughingstock!!!

good chances, but the guy is a beast, and nice to see players put in that effort every game, and he creates openings for himself and others — Giroud is a great
striker, but most

Let me remind you
of the 2013/2014 window where we had a

striker.

My opinion is lets say he creates anywhere between 5 and 10
chances in a game
well Id say on average maybe two or three
of these could be clear cut (one on one with GK or free shot in the area) That is still unbelievably difficult thing to do and
strikers should be scoring at least one from three clear cut openings.

Can't chuba akpom come from bench... i wud feel we shud give kid a
chance... plus if we are to go 4 a «WC»
striker we should first sell giroud... coz den he is
of no use... coz wud prefer walcot any time coz
of his pace and welbz coz he can hold up the ball in front «like» giroud plus he is a
better runner nd confident his striking can only get
better... 4 me giroud is
of no use to dis team coz we are developing into more
of a counter-attacking type wid help player like coq available... so
better first get a DM which shud be our prime requirement....
I'm with you there mate. He's just an average player beign given many
chances.A lot
of average
strikers can even do
better because
of the
chances Arsenal creates.There are some
strikers who are not top quality but have very
good finishing that if given the same seasons and
chances Giroud has had they can do
better.I hate it when they make it seem like only world class
strikers are
better than him. He's really only improved from season 14/15 honestly speaking. He used to be so bad and waste a lot
of chances. It's just that become can not see the fact that he's not as
good as they think. We will surely be vindicated by his performance for another club.
I thought people here were debating about two or three seasons back why he should be our top striker. When I thought the Monaco match was the icing on the cake to show how average he was it seems just like Wenger we» will never learn our lesson. Now people our okay with him being a super sub which is debatable.Giroud was a super sub in games last season because he wasn't played when he was supposed to.He's not your ideal super sub because he very hardly creates but rather requires people to create for him. Most
of the time super subs are the one's who tend to create the
chances and open up spaces in the opposition defence.West ham are ready to pay and hence we should demand more from them.We can then use the money from his sale on far
better players.Given the same seasons, time and
chances a lot
of average
strikers can do
better than what he did. This is because Arsenal create a lot
of chances and it just needs someone who can finish.Goodbye!.
A
good team such as ours must be given a
chance, because world class
striker or not, this team has got lots
of goals in it.
I think there is a
good chance that we Arsenal fans will have at least one new player to shout about though, and if our England international star Danny Welbeck is not back in action by then, I think that a
striker may
well be top
of Wenger's wish list.
I think the major reason Wenger did not sign a strong DM is because
of Diaby, Wenger may think it s his last
chance to prove what he is capable
of and he is when fit so I expect to see a breaktrough or fail from Diaby. You have to admire the loyalty
of Wenger on those kind
of point, the team is still short
of defender but I do think that a Diaby fit can be a
good DM as he is tall, strong and technical. There is 3 new
striker, Campbell and Sanchez who can play the wings and a tall, strong Wellbeck who can bully the defenders in the box, all three have pace so it s an upgrade on Giroud and Sanogo.
Ozil is one
of Arsenal's kings
of assists and produced hundreds
of «
chances», but most
of his assists came from set pieces and most
of his «
chances» can not be converted by Lacazette (one
of the
best French
strikers today) and Sanchez.
Welbeck needs to be give a decent run in the team as a
striker before fans can start judging remember he played out on the left for a majority
of games for man u and got very little
chance to play as a
striker hence thats why his goal scoring record looks nothing special but that can change with us he has
good pace technically very
good and i personally think he will do a
good job just give him a
chance!
Is it really so hard to believe that the
striker would prefer a move to London than Manchester, with Arsenal being able to offer Champions League football and on previous season's showings, a
better chance of winning the Premier League?
