Since he signed for Arsenal from Real Madrid Ozil has provided more assists and created more
chances than any other player in the Premier League, ahead of Tottenham's Eriksson and Man City's David Silva.
The truth is he has provided more
chances than any other players in the PL.
Ozil created more
chances than any other player so far in Europes top 5 leagues (domestically).
Mesut Ozil is the best creative midfielder on the planet, that is unquestionable, he has created more
chances than any other player in the top 5 leagues in Europe, he has created 80 chances in 18 appearances in the premier league and only 21 of those chances have come from set pieces.
Whatever the relative merits and deficiencies of Arsenal's forwards, Ozil more than did his job, creating more
chances than any other player across Europe's top five leagues.

The book heralds David Silva as the best passer in the EPL because he creates more goal scoring
chances than any other player, and the authors believe (based on research and statistics) that Manchester City was able to score goals not necessarily because they had better goal scorers, but because they had great goal creators who made scoring easier.

+ wenger out is more
than just lack of spending; its not studying the opposition, not rotating
players, not addressing why we have so much more injuries
than others, not subbing early enough to give incoming
players a
chance to influence the game, not playing
players in their best positions. . . .
«Mesut Ozil created more goals
than any
other Premier League
player in 2015/16 — but despite finishing top of the assists table, he just missed the
chance to set a new record.
This is another stupid article, do u knw hw many times wenger has made dis same mistake, how does a manager with more
than 20 years of experience go into a season wth only 2 senior CB, dis injuries are no mistake, you play the same set of
players every
chance and just leave the rest to rot on the bench when some
players could be rested for
others and thus keeping everyone fit and happy... tactics are same every match hes just so predictable... anyway we all love wenger but he's time is up... we all know that
To all giroud bashers, who claimed
other strikers would score 30goals for all the
chances wil created, man city, liverpool actually created more scoring
chances than us which depicts that our midfielders need to create more to meet up with these teams and our fans must stop picking on
players to attack.
«The Europa League has helped him more
than any
other player, giving him time to build his match fitness and the
chance to break into Arsenal's first team.
Because of Wenger and our many French
players over the years we are a popular team in France and so the boss suggested that today's game was a good opportunity to bring some happiness to people while also being a good
chance for the
players to focus on something
other than the terror attacks.
I've always maintained my stance that Arsene Wenger loves French
players in his team
than any
other players. No matter how average you are once you're French and once you're in the first team he tends to give you so many
chances to prove yourself.I can start mentioning them if you want me to but I know you know them.If Lucas Perez was French he wouldn't have been out so early believe me.I just don't know where to begin. Was Giroud bought to become a super sub or to be the leading striker?Having giving us many sesons of failure people are now content with him being a so called super sub.A
player like Giroud is not built for that kind of role.He ws a super sub in 99 % of those matches because he was not played when he was supposed to and we needed presence in the air.The funny thing is people are using only this season to label him as a super sub. There were so many matched that Wenger should have started Giroud but for some reason didn't start him.I only see Arsenal as the top club who'd be crying over Giroud. If a good offer comes we should sell.
There is no need to gamble at time of the league, let give Maitland - Niles a
chance and i know he will perform well in that position
than other crop of
players for that position.
Excitingly for Reds fans, Liverpool have signed the most creative
player in the Bundesliga over the past two seasons — with no
other playmaker having created more
than his 138 goalscoring
chances [via WhoScored].
Sorry to say this but he got them because they were dimmed surplus for their team, they would never get first team
player at their previous club, they would have been benched and used as substitutes because there were
others who were given first team
chance than them.So when you are a substitute
player at your current club, it is easy to get a
player than signing a first team
player.Sorry but this is the truth.
Alexis gets
chance to play as a CF for periods as Theo can drop out wide easier
than Giroud, if Welbz is playing on the right then all 3 of our
players could play wide and CF.. The hold up play Giroud is great at won't be needed so much as Ozil and Alexis can do hold onto the ball and then bring
others into play.
Mesut Ozil was once again superb, His ball for our opener was fantastic, he created a total of 7
chances for his teammates, he is now on 76
chances created for 2015, more
than any
other player, More
than the genius Silva, more
than ex captain Fabregas, more
than player of the year Hazard, more
than much heralded Coutinho, but don't forget, Ozil is not worth # 42 million.
What do u expect when we have the most patheticc fans in d history of football, all they know is to insult every
player that wears d shirt, no English winger presently has scored more goals
than Walcott yet he's always an idiot, their latest target now is xhaka, soon will stop being adventurous to avoid mistakes and start playing side ways and back passes bcos of fans abuse, giroud donkey, ozil has more assists, hss created more
Chances, has made completed more passes in d final 3rd, has made more successful crosses
than any
other player in d league since he came to arsenal, yet they will always call him lazy, its ridiculous we v decended to this sorry state, no
player will flourish in a hostile environment like ours,
@RSH what I was trying to say is that it takes more
than world class
players to win you the league. In many instances the mentality factor far outweighs the quality when the team is playing on the Wenger. With Wenger I don't see us having a strong mentality. We might have even lost the battle before it is fought.Trust me there's a higher
chance w» ell not win the EPL if even Wenger made all the right signings. You know why? It's not because of the so called quality of
other teams but we will be the cause of our own downfall this season again.
He lies to the fans with high hopes He bottles things up when the
chance presents itself He later comes out to say we can't win the premier league That's what happens every season still some fans haven't realised this agony His time is up to leave but he won't He favours some
players than others He later blames the fans as if the fans select the
players He has never blamed himself For some unknown reasons, fans continue to show their loyalty by fully attending matches while they come out on social media to vent their frustrations Wenger is taking the love of football from people Hardly a day passes
than Wenger not being insulted For how long will these sufferings continue?
This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less
than stellar «plug and play» mentality where
players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current
players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these
players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear
chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive
players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a
player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the
players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this
player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3
players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill
players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a
player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6
players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the
other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
But on the
other hand, after all his contributions for out team in the past few seasons, i'm happy for him because he stands a better
chance to win something with Manure
than our club, that hurts more (even Ian Wright confessed that), we cant even assure a top class
player of anything anymore,,, i» scared for ozil and wilshere leaving too....
In term of CB, people are forgetting that the youth academy have good
players in Hayden and Ayaje.Southampton use to do well with their academy because the supporters will allow and accept the youths to be given a
chance, now supporters from a big team like Arsenal wants proven expensive world class
players in order to win quickly in detriment to give a
chance to the youths club.Wenger show preference to some in detriment of
others too playing always the same
player and giving few
chance to
others.Bendtner last year was treated badly, look out this year for Campbell and why not give a
chance to Ayaje and Hayden who are olders
than Chambers in the cb position, don t tell me it s about potential if they are not given a
chance?
This period is purely to get match fitness and to use proper matches rather
than training ground for new
players to understand the system as well as giving Arsene a
chance to see which of the youngatefs might be able to cut it and also to see which of the 1st team squad might be able to cover
other positions (or not as the case seems to be with Elneny!)
Both these personnel are crucial to their side's
chances of winning tonight's game and Sanchez, more
than any
other Arsenal
player, holds the key to Arsenal defeating Manchester United at their own den.
With more touches
than any
other player and two decent
chances created from his deep lying midfield role, I was certainly as impressed with the new Gunner as Murphy was.
sanchez is my favorite
player but truth to be told he misses more easyer
chance than giroud but we fail to recognize it because we have such hight regard of him in fact all of our
players misses those easy
chance that
other team in the league
players put away very easily
There aren't many reliable objective facts when it comes to Ozil — but knock out the emotional stuff and the diversionary fluff about body language etc and the bare numbers tell us he isn't lazy, he touches the ball more
than any
other Arsenal
player, re-cycles and passes it better
than any, is surer in possession and creates more
chances.
And while I would not say that he has been poor at it this season, because the stats tell you that he is passing and creating
chances more often
than any
other player in the Premier League, the little magician has not had quite the same influence for us.
Players other than ozil will provid them with lots of
chances 3.
Few bad controls... Missed 1 glorious
chance... But he is better off the ball
than Giroud who can take defenders with him which can make space for
others... We need 3 - 4 quality
players..
Surely if either
player or for that matter, any
other player in the squad was doing it on the training, pitch their
chance will come.Did Rosycky moan signing the 2 yr extention, no, he knows how it works more
than anyone one.3 games in, his time will come as will
other, squad members.
he touched the ball more
than any
other player, completed more passes, played more key passes, created the most
chances and was an inch away from scoring.
Um pesonal experiments sorry nobody gave him 150million pounds to sign eonaldo or messi or 100 million pounds to sign a
player oh plus another 400million to fill out the
other ten sorry he was given ants and has still won our record signing 55million i mean
other teams are able to spend more on bench sore pine slivered second strings
than hes been on starters over the years and hes still won only manager invincible oh and then when the
other clubs new we were low on cash and winning started injuring our star
players and do nt say it does nt happen cause it does um he still won whole given ants to spend hes done amazing extend please one or to bad seasons compared to twenty great seasons and had our strikers finished their
chances this year in 5 or six key matches we'd be sitting pretty reall only 3 or two and a draw or saw and we'd be sittingin the thick of itextend now that the board an owner are willing to spend snails for him finally atleast a little more
than ants cause of inflation
unless we are planning to sell jack, Ramsey, Carzola, or even coquelin i don't get these transfer... who do we play where??? We had no problem in midfield last season (in my opinion) but if we are doing these just for the numbers then am ok with it... Our real problem is the No. 9 position... Guys theres a reason strikers cost and are paid higher
than other players... A striker who scores at - least a goal in three good
chances created is exactly what we need
Holding's done well but his recent performances have shown that a youngster is indeed a youngster.Even when he was playing well there were many times where he overdid things. However, I'm saying all these things because the guy is being heavily replied upon and that's putting pressure on him hence the inconsistencies.I'm still sratching my head over the Gabriel sale.I honestly think he's better
than Mertesacker, Holding and Chambers for now.The three back suited him perfectly.I agree with you that Ox can't score or defend but he can definitely set up
chances with his crossing. In fact I think though he gets many wrong he's actually our best crosser.People should should go and rewatch his crosses and compare it to our
other players.
Nearly all the Villa
chances are going to Benteke — only 2
other players scored more
than 1 league goal for them last season!
Brendan Rodgers is the third most mentioned name and while I like Brendan and I his style of football, I just don't feel like he'll fix the defense and command the respect some of the
other people mentioned, and his demise at Liverpool after Suarez was sold reminds me of what Wenger is doing now, and we've sold our best
players before, but there's something about him that makes me want to give him a
chance, especially after giving Wenger 10 more years
than he deserves.
I've had enough of this crap, look I honesty do think giroud is a good striker and he is a fairly consistant goal scorer, and every time he played for arsenal he gave 100 percent and I think we all appreciated the way he was, a true professional, but to say we as fans were too critical of him or that he didn't have enough of a
chance at arsenal is just absolute bullshit, first of all he has scored more headed goals
than any
other player in the prem since he arrived in 2012 so we did play to his strengths and he was our main striker for four long years and every pundit on sky and motd has at one point said Giroud is not enough for arsenal to win the title ect, but, now we have sold him he is apparently the best thing since sliced bread and the best buy of the transfer window blah blah fuc * # * g blah.
Despite coming in for plenty of criticism, a Metro report a few days ago revealed that Ozil has created more
chances in the Premier League during 2015
than any
other player.
Telling me
players are not to blame is absolutely rubbish, they are to blame, yes Monaco mission was to relax and repell Arsenal and if possible shut them down completely, this gam was ours to take, First the pressure was on Monaco, they didn't know how to go about it, whether to defend their 3 - 1 advantage or press us, we had more
than enough clear cut
chances but as usual we were clueless in front of goal, we tried to open them apart which is impossible, Carzolla and Alexis played as if we lead 15 - 0, holding balls, try to dribble every time they have the ball and and reduce the pace and any
chance of
other to get through, losing balls carelessly, poor crosses is now our style, it doesn't threatened even Charlton athletic coz everyone now knows our crosses is poorly delivered and our attackers also don't have a clue how to do it even if one get through it will be wasted, this game should have been won by range attempts which was only tried once by ÖZIL and was blocked.
In fact the team creates more
chances than any
other team with those
players and formation.
Johnson attempted nine crosses from the left wing, more
than any
other player on the pitch, and laid on four
chances for his side in a performance that his manager will hope is a sign of things to come.
Known for his lethal set - piece delivery, the left - back also happily ranged forward in open play and created 116 goalscoring
chances - «more
than any
other player in Europe's top five leagues in 2012/13, with 5 assists along the way.
The Gunners» string - puller created far more
chances from open play
than any
other player in the league this season — some 93, with Payet and Alli both trailing on 63 and 53 respectively.
Hazard created more
chances than any
other Premier League
player this season (101).
I disagree with u ryan the playwrs we got from southampton hve been so inconsistant and u then you say origi ings etc were bought at a steal and will be worth more in time to come so u agree with fsg policy buy potential and once they become better
players sell them for a profit sorry but thats my opinion we need to hold on to the better
players than compliment them with
other great
players fsg have turned liverpool into a selling club to fill there bck pockets this was never the liverpool way and now because of this fsg policy is the reason were mid table klopp needs to be given the funds he needs to change things only then can we judge him i just hope he is given the
chance before he decides to walk YNWA
Only one
other player - Dimitri Payet - then of Marseille, now of West Ham - in the top five European leagues created more
chances than De Bruyne's 112 last season.
