a change of tactics for now.

I have given up on Arsene since 2008 I love him but I think he has lost the plot, the most annoying thing about him is his thinking

(3) formation flexibility — it took 20 years
for Wenger to return to a back 3 and now he can't seem to choose anything but that formation... the teams in the premiership and those we could face in the Europa will present vastly different
tactics and we need to have a manager who can prepare this squad
for this eventuality and have the fortitude to make the necessary adjustments throughout the season... I have seen nothing in the past 6 - 7 years to suggest that he is the man to take on this challenge... I can't even remember when he
changed formations when he would replace a small, pacy striker, like during the Walcott experiment, with the lumbering Giroud...
of course this is exactly why there is no other manager in the world that plays more players out
of their natural positions (square peg in a round hole)
This isn't a case
of «what have you done
for me lately» as that would imply that things went off the rails fairly recently, and it's certainly not a
change simply
for the sake
of change scenario, as we're not so naive to believe that this alone would guarantee long - term success, this is a measured response based on YEARS
of questionable decisions, failed
tactics, boardroom blunders, unprecedented losses and a level
of dishonesty never before seen at our club.
Mediocrity has always been the thing since wenger began to feel he was untouchable at the club... Sam Allardyce might not have been the best coach in the EPL but
for he did something remarkable and honorable when he stepped down after rescuing the Eagles from relegation and that's what the potato head should have done when he found out that the fans were not united because
of him...
changing tactics after the deed has been done won't prove anything right but putting his arrogance and ego aside and stepping down as manager
for someone who is hungry and ambitious
for silverware will be the best...
change must a; ways happen cos it's inevitable.
Of course it would be silly to suggest that winning any game, cup or otherwise, isn't good for the club, but let's remember just how problematic FA Cup success has been for this club... I'm certainly not going to suggest I didn't enjoy seeing Arsenal win, I'm a fan of this club first and foremost, but how bad are things when you find yourself secretly wishing that your own team lost so that just maybe real change would finally come... Wenger's implementation
of the 3 -4-3 formation has seen his approach on
tactics change, but
for Merson this isn't enough.
That has nothing to do with the quality
of the team r a lack
of money, it has to do with a stubborn old fart playing with his stubborn old
tactics while the whole world around him was screaming
for him to
change.
Irrespective
of the Striker we sign, Wenger should
change his
tactics for next season.
As much as I appreciate what Wenger has done
for the club, I would also appreciate it if he wasn't in charge next season, it's nothing personal I just feel that after the period
of transition we have flat - lined and the truth is whether it be
tactics, injuries, personal recruitment that have been contributing factors to us not being able to win the Premier league title... it's all on him and until we
change manager this stupid cycle will persist... Eddie D
So Yes some things has to
change maybe Wenger has to listen a bit more to his best players, adapt & alter
tactics for the sake
of winning or keeping a hold on the score but the players have to be hungrier!
I wont blame Wenger
for playing the starting lineup, after all we started winning the game on top
of that LLoris did a couple
of good saves that if we have scored would have defined the game... the problem with WENGER is and has been that he wont adapt,
change tactics when is needed.
Wish we had Fergie / he would know Arsenal just needs one player who would impose Arsenal play and draw all the talent we have to it's tempo / Arteta has saved us well
for the past 3 or so years in this regard / Every team has such an engine which dictates tempo
changes of tactics of which Arsenal are without one hence all the problems / ManCity have YAYA / Fergie had SCHOLES / West - Harm now have SONG / Aston - Villa have SANCHEZ / Chelsea have FABRIGAS / Real Madrid had XABI ALONSO / Baca have xavi / Liverpool have Steve Gerard another replica if our own Flamini.
I personally believe that Wenger didn't push to have the contracts
of Sanchez, Ozil, Ramsey and Ox renewed earlier because he was going to use it as leverage when renegotiating his own deal... so far that
tactic has backfired as we know little more about this squad moving forward than we did in May and Wenger clearly misjudged just how important his staying would be to both Sanchez and Ox... I like Lacazette, but I liked him a lot more 2 years ago at 20 million less... Sead might come good but once again he wasn't a necessity buy, except that he was a free transfer and was signed early... another «wag the dog»
tactic employed by the powers that be... as
for the rest
of the roster, very little has
changed, except that it's way too big and lacks the cutting edge to take this club to new heights.
Arsene is too stubborn to
change his ways and I feel sorry
for him in a way but he has brought this on himself, I don't see Arsenal with any
tactics or game plan anymore its insane and to think our next prem match is away to Liverpool, his loyalty to players is stupid and the mentality
of those players must be coming from him and his nervous way on the sideline does not help, he has lost the dressing room I feel.
Wenger should wake up and
change different
tactics for different opponents, that's how it should be, the players should show everybody why they are taking that huge amount
of money.
Let us
change our
tactics for the rest
of the games by starting the game with our fighters first to fight and tire the opposition and let Ozil come in the second half to do his sniper job with enough space to exploit.
We had a lot
of movement in the 1st half upfront and that is what got us our goal, not a bit
of fluke as Jose said but a bit
of play that we played
for, that fast movement upfront allowed Theo to beautifully pick out the Ox and when it came to defend that lead, we
changed our
tactics... which has been a complaint
of some Arsenal fans, Wenger not playing the right
tactic or the opposition.
But there appears to have been a
change in
tactics based on the opening two games at the start
of the season as they have been looking
for the long - ball option up to Benteke more often that not and it has rewarded them with back - to - back 1 - 0 victories over Stoke City and newly promoted AFC Bournemouth.
what needs
changing is our style
of play, coaching, training,
tactics etc needs to
change too otherwise we will keep on getting mugged in the big games as it has been happening
for last few years.
So will this call
for a
change of style and
tactics from Wenger?
It was bound to happen because the
change of tactics by using the 4141 was introduced by wenger from the start
of the season but it has just taking time
for the team to get used to it esp with injured players coming back.
The old additive its easy to say now... but i was screaming
for change of tactic and or players well before Arsene made the call.
The obvious solution in the interim is
for Wenger to give up his dream
of trying to put together an English galactico's and concentrate on
changing his on field
tactics something much more perfunctory.
You'd love to think that squad selection is a good thing, and will offer up opportunity
for rotation and switching
tactics mid game... but we all know Wenger doesn't
change anything until the 78th minute
of any game.
My fellow gunners Wenger is a failure either you admit or not, though this is a preseason match which is less important just to make the players gain fitness, before the competitive matches commence, but at the same time Wenger's
tactics and formation should be questioned especially against big teams, he had conceded numerous goals against big teams in which today's match is a reflection
of what we are talking about, his old and out dated philosophy is no longer valid in modern football, no wonder Alexis Sanchez can't confide in his plans to propel the team in winning major honours, Wenger still believe in some
of the bunch
of fringe players he should have gotten rid
of in the team and replace them with world class players or players that are hungry
for success like Alexis, anyway there is still much time in the transfer window presently to do that, if he can
change the hands
of time and stop being too stubborn.
Sanchez will play CF
for Arsenal but such drastic
change in
tactics need time, and the whole team must be trained and adapt to the new
tactic that can get the best out
of Sanchez.
- Willing to
change tactics to adapt towards any opposition - Can maximise the full potential
of player — Passion and hunger to succeed
for Arsenal Football Club and in managerial job.
Secondly, Wenger needs to become far more flexible when it comes to his formation selections... remember this is the same individual that hadn't used a 3 - back system
for 20 years and only conceded to the experiment when the proverbial shit hit the fan... you know it killed him to adopt «Conte's» system, which is probably why he resisted so long; in fact his stubbornness to adjust even earlier might have cost us the 4 hole... much like most sports that have tactical formations, every team should have a «base» offensive and defensive scheme, but they likewise need to have some inherent flexibility depending on the opposing teams
tactics and / or when specific substitutions are made... how many times have you watched a Wenger - run team make a late substitution but not
change their shape on the pitch... furthermore, how many times have you seen our team fail to make the necessary adjustments at halftime due to Wenger's tactical stubbronness, which often led to giving up goals in the early minutes
of the second - half... the best teams in the world know how to make halftime adjustments whereas we always seem to be surprised when the opposing team throws a wrinkle into the mix following halftime... this my friend is soccer 101
Arsene Wenger admitted that player power was responsible
for the severe
change of tactics against Manchester City but despite the success against the champions, Mertesacker says the proof the squad have learnt their lessons will only come if they keep winning matches.
Arsene Wenger is likely to ring the
changes to the Arsenal team
for the Capital One cup game this week, although after losing our last two games and having to face our local rivals Tottenham in the cup, he is likely to resist his usual
tactic of playing a lot
of young Gunners.
Kroenke doesn't pick the players
for a match, doesn't put which formation to be used, doesn't motivate players, doesn't
change tactics when things aren't going write, doesn't substitute players late, so many stuffs that happen on the pitch that need not the attention or the presence
of Kroenke or Gazidis.
Suicide is when you deliberately support same manager who couldn't
change his
tactics irrespective
of our opponents
for the last 10 years.
Change of tactics... I know this is hard
for people who play football manager to comprehend but the squad you have can restrict the amount
of tactics you can play.
u are drunk... and quintero, i like him, he has a really good shot, something we are missing so much, someone who can make the long shot or save us from free kick (vs hull we open the game with a free kick deflected... some
of u does nt take that too much to analize our situation with ramsey on the wing and our problems to fight with a strong defense... without thats freekick maybe would be a very diferent story... we need to
change tactics with teams who dedicates to defense... but about quintero, i do nt think porto allow us to get him
for 8.5 m
His
tactics demand it
of him and, like it or not, Ozil is going to have to
change his style, take on more responsibility and swap assists
for finishes.
We all knew we wouldn't get anything from this game. The venue tight ground, in London, more importantly the effect
of the Norwich result. It seems to me now that our season could be determined by one player.Benik Afobe. He showed enough to warrant a start, Reading would be a great platform. We desperately need him to show the quality we know he has. With the predicted further 3 loses to come, this is going down to the wire.NES attitude has always been about his team, the system, style with little regard to the opposition, so it's too late
for change, we have to carry on and hope that it will be enough.I saw a great
tactic used in Spain, that would suit Costa or Cavellerio, who get frequently caught offside. That is
for one
of them to stay offside, as long as they are not involved in the first phase
of play, then they are brought into the 2nd phase, with defenders tracking back, they have the advantage.Mind you it was Barcelona and Messi!!
This might not actually work out
for United and we may see some kind
of change in the
tactics or playing eleven.
Lots
of options
for rotation, impact subs and
changing tactics during a game — something we have rarely seen at Villa.
The reason
for this was to see if any comments given by Osman would give any clues aganist the problems we had last season, such as our lethargy towards the end
of games or inability to
change tactics at times.
for posting that... conditions are out
of control... his
tactics aren't working, he is arrogant, a bad loser, always finding someone to blame
for a lose, boring style
of play... we need a
change for Christ sake... you idiot should something better to post
I still feel a
change of tactics is needed to back ourselves up and we have a perfect opportunity this Tuesday night to do that against Bolton and go
for a 442 formation.
