As I've been saying and will keep saying we have many good players but
as good
as they are they're overrated. We've just compromised
as a club. There are problems in every single role in the team, from defence to attack.Yet these problems will constantly be ignored. Some players are cleary not good enough but say it and the stats lovers will come out.The main problem wrong with the team is the centre. The other problem is Wenger and his misuse of players.I for one don't really rate Ramsey - Xhaka partnership in a sense that it's defensively weak with Xhaka not good enough defensively and Ramsey very inconsistent. The only player excellent defensively in the centre in Arsenal's team is Coquelin and I think he should be playing though many won'tsee why.Look how easily the
balls went through the midfield.Coquelin should be partnered with another CM in our current team.People shouldn't deceive themselves Xhaka that Xhaka isn't a DM.He's just not good defensively admit it.We need a DM more than a CM in my opinion or a hybrid like Sanches or Jankto.

I tell you from a footballing point of view scoring 8 goals you got have players that know where the goal posts are it takes energy and creativity to score 8 yes I agree vikings
changed their players because their league is starting i think tomorrow so yes they were not a big team team but to say that Arsenal were not strong thats a bit to much and I say it again you need energy and creativity to score 8 I was very happy they did that Arsenal are well known for creating chances yesterday they converted them chances into Goals this should be the norm and I hope this will give them a lesson on how to win a game

i still hold the opinion the striker we use is dependent on the opposition we play, for all the brilliance of Alex he has been shut out in several games by pressing arsenal and letting us having to resort to long

as the forward, however with both Alex and Giroud on the field we have the opportunity to switch styles without making

As Arthur also points out, this all means that MLB's home run surge can end in an instant: once the baseballs are

This is an incredibly difficult question to answer for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel to move the
ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through
balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the
ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects,
as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox
as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise...
as for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the
ball too long, gives the
ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow to ever boss the midfield and he tends to telegraph his one true strength, his long
ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch...
as for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him to use Francis and then he had the nerve to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little to no sense considering what he has to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part
as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had to choose one of those 3 players to stay on it would be Ox due to his potential
as a plausible alternative to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this squad for some years but that could all
change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the
ball too long and he will give the
ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense
as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction to heroin without the benefits
Although I've found it very cathartic to speak, vent and end occasionally rant about all things Arsenal, we need to act carefully and intelligently right now or we're going to get played by this club even worse than at present... the pro-Wengerites and the suits, who represent a considerable proportion of the season ticket holders, don't want to believe that there is no plan and that Wenger has mailed it in for several years now or that things are going to get much worse before they get better... why would they... many have spent a considerable sum buying some of the highest priced tickets in the World... they want to have a front row seat to see something special and to be seen doing so, which simply provides ample justification for the expense and the time invested... to many of them, Wenger is the sun in their soccer universe... his awkward disposition, misplaced arrogance and his utter lack of
balls makes him a rather unusual cult figure, but the cerebral narrative seemed to embolden those who already felt pretty highly of themselves... many might not even of really liked football that much before his arrival and rarely games they weren't attending...
as such, they desperately believe that Wenger, and only Wenger, can supply them with their required fix... if he goes, they were wrong and that's a tough pill to swallow... they would have to admit that they were duped... they will definitely resent whoever made them feel this way, but of course it will be too late by then... so when we go overboard with ridiculous comments bordering of anarchy, it scares the shit out of them and they shift their blame towards us rather than at those who really perpetrated this act of treason... we aren't the enemy... we simply woke much earlier and the reason our comments have gotten more vile in recent years is out of utter frustration... in order for any real
change to occur at this club we need to bring
as many supporters
as possible with us or the big money interests will fade and our ultimate objective will be lost... so it's time to focus on the head instead of the heart for now
Laca has a beard - so does Giroud.Other than the fact they are both French there is no comparison.Give this kid (yeah I know he's 26 but that's still young at my age) the service and he will be a top top player.Look at his movement and see how frustrated he gets
as the
ball continually goes from side to side and backwards.I see a lot of Ian Wright in this boy but even Wrighty would struggle with the way we are set up and play. When Sánchez is gone he will become our main man and just watch the difference.Remember those days when the football was slick and fast?Remember when we had pace all through the team and had players who knew how to use it?When we
change manager a bring in a coach who gets the best from players by playing to their strength you will see a totally different Lacazette and Arsenal
If we try to completely boss the
ball and build
as slowly
as we have been (which is what we'll most likely do because Arsene is stubborn and will refuse to
change from the way we played that got a Tennis Score hung on us last time) we'll go out in the 433 with Ramsey and Jack ahead of Arteta, Alexis on one side, a no. 10 on the other, and Welbeck up top.
Now
as I said earlier, our attacking play will
change now, which means a lot less through
balls, and defences have a much easier time marking Giroud.
Not everyone likes that

-- berely any chances — slow passing football side to side — no counter attack — players awkward
as they ain't got fixed position's — creative players not making
changes coz giroud just stands stil passing the
ball back to them
OMG, our mates are strengthening and we here debating how to keep obviously average players like walcot, elneny, wilshere et all, Antonio conte had the
balls to tel a world class striker like diego costa to f *** off and we here debating mediocrity, we seem to have short memory
as arsenal fanz, thumb me down d way u like, y ’ all gon protest nd moan and groan like last season coz
as at now i see no phantom
changes, still d same old system, same old players nd d deluded one probably closed for the transfer market after signing just one out of the numerous we actually need to compete.
The likes of koscielny, coquelin, monreal and ospina have also made a difference, but also wenger has made
changes to the attacking side of the game, players like podolski and sanogo have been moved out
as they simply offer little to the team in way of work rate when we don't have the
ball.
With a
change in instructors and a retooled swing, Phil Mickelson is striking the
ball better than ever,
as evidenced by his impressive victory against the strongest field in the game at the Players
Wenger is forced to make a
change as Monreal has a knock and Mustafi finally comes back but the game continues at full pace and after 6 minutes Maitland - Niles gives the
ball away in the Liverpool corner and Salah gets it back uickly and finally gets a goal with a deflection off Mustafi.
Podolski doesn't track back etc, he is a striker first and last, let him do that, instruct the players to
change tactics (I can feel Wenger cringe at the thought) to get
as many
balls into the box
as possible if Podolski is on and allow Welbeck to run and play his best game and stop with the chuckle brothers football.
Again since his introduction into d team, our tactics
as changed and its more of soakin pressure wch makes in very difficult to play the
ball out, I will like to knw the pass completed percentage by both santi and ozil in the same period wch le coq has been on the pitch....
In his first season I used to bash Ozil for not tracking back when he loose the
balls (add to that the fact that I was (still) angry at Wenger for not signing striker and instead signing another AMF)... Now I am happy with Ozil and what he is doing for us... Ozil, you don't need to
change as long
as you have the spirit and the fight... The one I need him to
change (rather being
changed) is the one who will never do... The stubborn one...
It was treated
as a live
ball, however, and he's out at first since that kind of play isn't reviewable, and an appeal to the third base umpire didn't
change the call.
Not only could they
change their formation, but they could also
change their style of play; they could either go long, using both Grant Holt and Steve Morison
as battering rams, or they could play the
ball more on the ground in a counter-attacking style using the pace of Simeon Jackson and the craft of Wes Hoolahan (who I'm contractually obliged to refer to
as the «Irish Messi»).
A DM will not make a difference
as long
as we play the way we play, Sanchez still has that Barcelona «press
as a pack mentality», the way he was pressing and kept asking his team mates to join him in hunting for that
ball was amazing, but non of our players had the same attitude, I don't know why but our play
changed since 2010, we don't dominate games any more, we look so slow to close down, it always feels like we are just waiting for the opposition to misplace the
ball and then we he ago, it is so easy to play against
as their is no intensity and the other team has all the time to run at us and play defense splitting passes..
I'm not sure what the rule is
as it seems to
change a lot, but I don't think «going through the player» affected Purce's chances at playing the
ball.
Greystar United's drastic
change of form was soon rewarded
as they went down the left wing their player, Callum thunders the
ball into the goal causing the
ball to go through the side netting, ending what was a poor display in the final third.
As much as I'd like to see Chambers in the middle (provided he is mentally recovered from Sunday), I'm much more interested in seeing if there is any change in the team's mentality — do we collectively compete to win the ball back, if we are up with 20 minutes to go will our wing backs and box2box midfielder play more pragmatically etc. etc

West, who is such a perfectionist that he ran out of patience coaching the less - than - perfect Lakers and gave up the job after three seasons, thinks the game has
changed so much that now it belongs
as much to the outstanding
ball handler
as to the seven - footer.
I agree tho many fans who cant read games like those who played it a long time (no offence) but reading a game is half the battle and
as someone who played for 25 years tho not the best teams or leagues i still know what its about and have watched 30 years now of
ball on tv i can say we are a disgrace at the back how many stray passes Xhaca alone made is a joke i can only hope something
changes cause we need it i love us dominating teams but when we got 70 % possesion and only 1 shot on target its a joke.sry lad s but enoughs enough Wenger had his day its over now time to move on...................
We need to
change some players, even if they are good players to make our game more dinamic, more complete. If Walcott will leave, definetly Sterling is the right choose to play with Sanchez. If Bayern will want Ozil, I think we should let him go.I think mutch people will be not agree with this, Ozil is a great player BUT is not a complete player, doesn't have enough speed and is seems sometimes like he is not involved in the game.I think a switch with Gotze can be benefic for our team, he run alot, is creative and make the defensive
as well (remember how he take the
ball from Ribery at Dortmund).
Now is the time Wenger MUST
change things round ready for next season.Auba and Lacazette up front
as TWO STRIKERS.Mikki on the right.Ozil in the CENTRE FFS.He is not on the
ball enough out wide.He is our best player so play to his strengths. He will get the best out of everyone else.Get Zhaka out and put AMN in
as a CDM NOW.How much longer must we put up with below level performances?Just admit it was a mistake buying him, ship him out and move on.Try to get through the season with the defenders we have got.Wenger has proved he is incapable of moulding a consistent performance from what we have got (ALL PLAYERS HE HAS BROUGHT TO THE CLUB) and let the new guy in next season either sort them out and / or get rid of them.
Coutinho plays it into Firmino, and Liverpool break at speed, in an almost Manchester City-esque fashion, Liverpool have five players ahead of the
ball, running different lines, but if we were to be picky, they should be running different horizontal lines too, instead of Firmino, Milner and Wijnaldum all running a similar one — although,
as the move progresses that
changes:
«Making sure that when we do get the opportunity to get it down the field, the things that are referred to
as 50 - 50
balls, we've got to come up with those, and give our offense an opportunity to
change field position.»
Apart from the two chances for Sunderland and a half chance for Son in the 6 yard box, both teams looked slow
as the
ball predominantly stayed in the midfield, occasionally
changing hands due to a miss - pass.
Ronaldo waltzed between two Dortmund defenders on the left and poked the
ball across the face of goal where Isco helped it into the path of Mayoral, selected
as one of five
changes made by Zinedine Zidane, who clipped his finish over the advancing goalkeeper.
Out of desperation the tactical set - up was
changed, we beat a few teams who had little to play for, rode our luck in two games against City, and a fortunate first goal against Chelsea in the Cup Final -(Sanchez brought the
ball down with his hands that led to the goal)-- and just
as in 2014, the manager used his go - to Cup to justify a new contract.
