His form
for the Eagles last season could be enough
to convince them
to make a bid as they remain interested despite a
change in manager, and it certainly looks as though he'll be desperate
to move on as having been frozen out again, he'll need regular football elsewhere

Change what methods, it's

There is still a way
for them both
to play but it is more unlikely that Wenger will

(3) formation flexibility — it took 20 years
for Wenger
to return
to a back 3 and now he can't seem
to choose anything but that formation... the teams in the premiership and those we could face in the Europa will present vastly different tactics and we need
to have a manager who can prepare this
squad for this eventuality and have the fortitude
to make the necessary adjustments throughout the season... I have seen nothing in the past 6 - 7 years
to suggest that he is the man
to take on this challenge... I can't even remember when he
changed formations when he would replace a small, pacy striker, like during the Walcott experiment, with the lumbering Giroud... of course this is exactly why there is no other manager in the world that plays more players out of their natural positions (square peg in a round hole)

for them wenger's football ideas are extinct and in all honesty we have a decnt

A new and proper manager in charge will
change the whole stale crumbling structure and we can finally begin the
change from staleness and regression
to innovation, a regard
for the concept of defence — something Wenger has never shown — , coaching, organisation, motivation of the

changes we badly need.
I personally believe that Wenger didn't push
to have the contracts of Sanchez, Ozil, Ramsey and Ox renewed earlier because he was going
to use it as leverage when renegotiating his own deal... so far that tactic has backfired as we know little more about this
squad moving forward than we did in May and Wenger clearly misjudged just how important his staying would be
to both Sanchez and Ox... I like Lacazette, but I liked him a lot more 2 years ago at 20 million less... Sead might come good but once again he wasn't a necessity buy, except that he was a free transfer and was signed early... another «wag the dog» tactic employed by the powers that be... as
for the rest of the roster, very little has
changed, except that it's way too big and lacks the cutting edge
to take this club
to new heights.
• 09 Podolski — Under used, best left foot in the
squad, no good at chasing back • 10 Wilshere — Falls over a lot, injury prone, runs down blind alleys, spends more time sitting on his arse waving his arms around than influencing the game • 14 Walcott — Quick, can
change games with his pace, improved his finishing, can't wait
for him
to be back
to full fitness • 22 Sanogo — Looooooooool, that is all • 26 Martinez — Haven't seen enough of him
to truly judge.
Of course there is also the small matter of Arsene Wenger's contract
to be resolved, but if Le Prof does re-sign
for another two years he will have
to make massive
changes to the
squad one way or the other, and this would seem
to go against his usual philosophy of continuity, stability and cohesion, which has seen him keeping his team together and extending contracts of players that have come through the Arsenal youth system.
I can tell you
for sure that a leopard does not
change it's spots.Wenger will sign a maximum of one player and then claim that his
squad is good enough
to win the league.
All of us are going
to have different opinions on formations and who should start when where etc but i think allot of us would worry
for this
squad if we tried making big
changes at this point.
the truth is that we did nt have a first 11 or
squad to win in a weak league last year... so far chelsea and the manchester clubs have invested in big
changes... and almost certainly
for the better... spurs and leicester (if they keep konte and mahrez) can build on their foundation of last season..
This attitude of wanting the club
to decline further just so a managerial
change can come in
to their liking is beyond petulant... Ozil, Xhaka, Bellerin, Mustafi, AOC, Koscielny are all solid building blocks
for a quality
squad if a quality manager is
to take over..
defensively he did well chasing the ball... we have given chances
to other players
for years and still they have not developed their full potential, my take is that we (WENGER) does not execute the proper
squad rotation, playing the same players again and again, is the reason why we don't have a plan B a second team that can
change games and certainly has
to be a factor
for the out of the chart injuries our players sustain season after season.
Whoever is in charge knows what they would have
to do make some drastic
changes, breakdown the
squad and get rid of underperforming players who have been at the club
for too long already (it could be that they've been here recently but you don't need more than 2 seasons
to assess those things) and make the tough call that would free up some spot and cash
to go
for higher caliber players and winners!
Nwakali is a forward or wing player, nothing like kante and Ramsey is a
squad player
for me not first team quality, if Carzola is fit, him and xhaka would be a mouth watering fit but with Arsenals Injurie luck this seems inlikely but i wounder if the five at the back would work if we play a stubborn team that defends, i hope Arsene would
change the formation in such games back
to 4 -2-3-1 but this would require a proper rght wing which we havent had in years, we've had OX, Campell, Wallcot, Iwobi, Ramsey, Welbeck and Ozil play in that position and non of them have made it their own like sanchez has with the left wing
Wenger will go all out
to beat Barca yes as he does with every game its just that he's got less quality in the
squad wich is his fault and less options
for when things go wrong.and so nothing will
change and we'll all be arguing the toss about this in ten years time.
We have no one
to replace them and I am not happy about Wenger keep
changing the positions of certain players
to accommodate
for injuries as this only disrupts the
squad.

Spending does not necessarily bring success,
changing mangers ditto that and being able
to man manage a
squad who want
to play
for you is something that Mourhinho can only dream of.
Man City will have
to pick themselves up after last night's disappointment, while Arsenal have had a full week
to recover from last weeks win over Norwich, so that may be a factor in Arsenal's favour, as well as Wenger having a full
squad to choose from
for a
change.
This is an incredibly difficult question
to answer
for a variety of reasons, most importantly because over the years our once vaunted «beautiful» style of play has become a shadow of it's former self, only
to be replaced by a less than stellar «plug and play» mentality where players play out of position and adjustments / substitutions are rarely forthcoming before the 75th minute... if you look at our current players, very few would make sense in the traditional Wengerian system... at present, we don't have the personnel
to move the ball quickly from deep - lying position, efficient one touch midfielders that can make the necessary through balls or the disciplined and pacey forwards
to stretch defences into wide positions, without the aid of the backs coming up into the final 3rd, so that we can attack the defensive lanes in the same clinical fashion we did years ago... on this current
squad, we have only 1 central defender on staf, Mustafi, who seems
to have any prowess in the offensive zone or who can even pass two zones through so that we can advance play quickly out of our own end (I have seen some inklings that suggest Holding might have some offensive qualities but too early
to tell)... unfortunately Mustafi has a tendency
to get himself in trouble when he gets overly aggressive on the ball... from our backs out wide, we've seen pace from the likes of Bellerin and Gibbs and the spirited albeit offensively stunted play of Monreal, but none of these players possess the skill - set required in the offensive zone
for the new Wenger scheme which requires deft touches, timely runs
to the baseline and consistent crossing, especially when Giroud was playing and his ratio of scored goals per clear chances was relatively low (better last year though)... obviously I like Bellerin's future prospects, as you can't teach pace, but I do worry that he regressed last season, which was obvious
to Wenger because there was no way he would have used Ox as the right side wing - back so often knowing that Barcelona could come calling in the off - season, if he thought otherwise... as
for our midfielders, not a single one, minus the more confident Xhaka I watched played
for the Swiss national team a couple years ago, who truly makes sense under the traditional Wenger model... Ramsey holds onto the ball too long, gives the ball away cheaply far too often and abandons his defensive responsibilities on a regular basis (doesn't score enough recently
to justify): that being said, I've always thought he does possess a little something special, unfortunately he thinks so too... Xhaka is a little too slow
to ever boss the midfield and he tends
to telegraph his one true strength, his long ball play: although I must admit he did get a bit better during some points in the latter part of last season... it always made me wonder why whenever he played with Coq Wenger always seemed
to play Francis in a more advanced role on the pitch... as
for Coq, he is way too reckless at the wrong times and has exhibited little offensive prowess yet finds himself in and around the box far too often... let's face it Wenger was ready
to throw him in the trash heap when injuries forced him
to use Francis and then he had the nerve
to act like this was all part of a bigger Wenger constructed plan... he like Ramsey, Xhaka and Elneny don't offer the skills necessary
to satisfy the quick transitory nature of our old offensive scheme or the stout defensive mindset needed
to protect the defensive zone so that our offensive players can remain aggressive in the final third... on the front end, we have Ozil, a player of immense skill but stunted by his physical demeanor that tends
to offend, the fact that he's been played out of position far too many times since arriving and that the players in front of him, minus Sanchez, make little
to no sense considering what he has
to offer (especially Giroud); just think about the quick counter-attack offence in Real or the space and protection he receives in the German National team's midfield, where teams couldn't afford
to focus too heavily on one individual... this player was a passing «specialist» long before he arrived in North London, so only an arrogant or ignorant individual would try
to reinvent the wheel and / or not surround such a talent with the necessary components... in regards
to Ox, Walcott and Welbeck, although they all possess serious talents I see them in large part as headless chickens who are on the injury table too much, lack the necessary first - touch and / or lack the finishing flair
to warrant their inclusion in a regular starting eleven; I would say that, of the 3, Ox showed the most upside once we went
to a back 3, but even he became a bit too consumed by his pending contract talks before the season ended and that concerned me a bit... if I had
to choose one of those 3 players
to stay on it would be Ox due
to his potential as a plausible alternative
to Bellerin in that wing - back position should we continue
to use that formation... in Sanchez, we get one of the most committed skill players we've seen on this
squad for some years but that could all
change soon, if it hasn't already of course... strangely enough, even he doesn't make sense given the constructs of the original Wenger offensive model because he holds onto the ball too long and he will give the ball up a little too often in the offensive zone... a fact that is largely forgotten due
to his infectious energy and the fact that the numbers he has achieved seem
to justify the means... finally, and in many ways most crucially, Giroud, there is nothing about this team or the offensive system that Wenger has traditionally employed that would even suggest such a player would make sense as a starter... too slow, too inefficient and way too easily dispossessed... once again, I think he has some special skills and, at times, has showed some world - class qualities but he's lack of mobility is an albatross around the necks of our offence... so when you ask who would be our best starting 11, I don't have a clue because of the 5 or 6 players that truly deserve a place in this side, 1 just arrived, 3 aren't under contract beyond 2018 and the other was just sold
to Juve... man, this is theraputic because following this team is like an addiction
to heroin without the benefits
So let us put the horse before the cart
for a
change, get Wenger sacked and ONLY THEN can we ever begin
to do what is vitally necessary
to get a great all round
squad who are MOTIVATED
to try their best every week, month in month out, year in year out.
It may well be the start of major
changes for the Blues, as with John Terry also set
to see his current deal come
to an end this summer, Conte will have
to replace his experienced veterans and add depth and quality
to his
squad moving forward.
we wait every year
for the big
change just
to hear the same excuses (theres no1 out there)(we have the quality already) and we know hes goer sign a couple of panic buys just before the window just add
to the already overloaded crappy looking
squad that we have.
And there lies the problem, if Arsenals
squad was strong enough we would have won the league over the last 10 years, but we havent so there is the answer
to that question, Time
for a
change!!
I think its time
for a big
change on the top management, we clearly need abig dose of money
to rebuild this
squad top
to bottom.
As we strengthen the
squad, we CAN adjust the starting X1
to change the tactics / formation
for particular jobs, but right now, we have 13/14 players that are proven, and another 6/7 that are still learning at this level.
