to provide the exemplary education that has come
to be expected.
The project,
Changing the Subject: The New Urban High School Project, builds on the U.S. Department of Education's New American High Schools program, which this past spring recognized 10 high schools for their efforts
to integrate vocational and academic learning
throughout the
curricula.
Schools take part in a series of four workshops
throughout the year covering various aspects of energy saving, from recording meter readings
to monitoring energy use, behaviour
change for staff and students, and incorporating sustainability into the
curriculum.
