Early in this decade (one could argue about the exact date since a cluster
of events is involved) came the technology to make use
of this information to bring about by design significant

life processes.
This is going to be a shock — the men who actually wrote all the parts in the Bible and made
changes to the infrastructure
of Christianity — including Constantine circa 300 AD in Rome — were not afraid
of unleashing the occasional metaphor... in other words the Bible is not entirely literal — no, you are supposed to use your imagination... In many cases the disciples didn't actually witness an
event — it was long distance and time altered hearsay — God figured Man could handle that... So don't be afraid to dilute - God's cool with that — as long as you do the right thing in
life — feed the poor, help your neighbor, don't kill or covet - just be a good and decent person - smile, love and give generously... God doesn't need robots — He wants thoughtful individuals who help!!!
In the infinite language
of events and situations, eternally
changing, but plain to the truly attentive, transcendence speaks to our hearts at the essential moments
of personal
life....
Of further significance, however, are the
changes in the overarching symbolic environment within which these activities are taking place and the meanings which this environment imposes on
life's
events.
As each
of us walks through
life, I hope an inspiring
event will occur to
change us.
The chief points
of change are, first, that the scene has been transferred from the supernatural world
of the gods to the earthly sphere
of human history; secondly, that It is not a god who experiences the renewal
of life (for the God
of Israel is not himself subject to death and resurrection, but on the contrary initiates and controls these
events) but the people
of Israel, who look in hope for restoration when their existence is threatened; and thirdly, that this hope is expressed as a metaphor describing the historical future, rather than as a myth
of cosmic renewal.

There have been a few moments that I can look back to as cataclysmic

of the political spectrum itself under the pressure
of events and in response to challenges to the established system from militant seekers
of change.
And she explains the
life of St. Francis very well - revealing, for example, that the process
of change was a gradual thing and that it began with simple gifts to the poor and a real commitment to prayer, and the more dramatic
events such as the encounter with the Crucifix at San Damiano came only after this preparation.
Such decisions can
change the whole course
of events in a country and so
change the
lives of millions
of people.
An air
of expectancy and
of imminent cosmic
change pervades the New Testament, even as the apostles go out to proclaim the
