the chapter author responses were confidential, and never revealed to the public.

Each document is given its own
chapter, which includes information about the
author (s), historical background, and a section titled «
Response» that discusses the impact and the repercussions of the document.
I believe that WG1 review comments (with names of reviewers), and the
author responses, will be published when the full copy - edited report comes out in January, along with the First and Second Order Drafts of the
chapters — this will enable people to see what the comments referred to, and how the
authors addresses those comments.
They should be read in the context of the draft
chapters, and when comparing successive drafts for any changes on the basis of these comments, the
authors»
responses should also be examined.
