The strength of the movie is that you and the lead
character are in the same situation.

I've always said that
character is an ability to act the
same in every
situation.
I call a great
character one who by his actions and attitudes satisfies the claim of
situations out of deep readiness to respond with his whole life, and
in such a way that the sum of his actions and attitudes expresses at the
same time the unity of his
being in its willingness to accept responsibility.
People connect with fictional
characters through empathetic feelings, and neuroscience research has shown that the
same hormones and chemicals associated with stress and attachment
in real life
situations are released while watching TV.
The
same way men
are interested
in their looks and
character, they
are also interested
in the men's financial
situation.
For all of its attempts at gut - wrenching conflicts, at the end, we
are left with the
same characters in the
same situations as when we started.

was expecting a simple fighting game with some button mashing, however, the game proved me wrong and i fell

is a lot more deep than the one
in the Naruto games, with all of the
characters having two special attacks, two «burst attacks», a knock - away and a launcher respectively, a throw and an ultimate attack (called a «Big Bang Attack»), every
character also has an universal dodge - action that sends them behind their enemies while spending one cosmo bar, making bar management that much precious and shielding you from a half - a-hour combo, unlike
in the NUNS series, the fighting and the
characters are nicely balanced, with every
character being fun to play and viable at the
same time, the game runs smoothly without frame - rate issues and the cell - shaded graphics,
character models, arenas and effects alike
are nice to the eye, battles
are divided into rounds, with all the tiny nice stuff like
character introductions and outros
being intact (fun fact: the
characters will even comment on their score after the battle), the game also features an awakening system, called the «Seventh Sense» awakening, unlike the NUNS awakening system which became severely unbalanced
in the later game, every
character simply gains a damage / defense boost, with the conditions
being the
same for all
characters, eliminating
situations when one
character can use awakening at almost any point
in the battle, or one awakening
being drastically stronger than the other, the game has a story mode with three story arcs used to unlock
characters, a collection mode, tournament modes, a survival mode, a series of special versus modes and online battle modes.
But the
characters in «Sin City: A Dame to Kill For»
are mostly the
same, the
situations basically a rehash of the bullets, blood and beatdowns of the first film.
I
'm not
in the
same financial
situation as Guy my
character, fortunately.
The great part of it
is that they
're staying
in character for all of this, and this whole
situation is a catalyst for Bernie, Chris»
character, to grow, and the
same with Sybert's
character.
If you've yet to create your own hunter, the short version of the
situation is that MH World's
character creation screen shows finely - detailed, exceptional quality faces, while those
same faces
are noticeably less beautiful
in the actual world.
My favorite thing about good films
is the fact that I
'm completely engrossed
in the
characters and the
situations, it feels as if I've
been pulled into the screen and breathe the
same air as them, and when bad things happen I feel something powerful.
It may feature the
same characters in vaguely familiar
situations, but it
's otherwise nothing like the source material.
The
characters speak to the
same situations in different ways frequently, and the film
is happy to depict all versions of the story at once.
That
's the hole
in time
in Rodney
's life, and the screenplay by Brad Ingelsby and director Scott Cooper
is assured
in the way it puts these two
characters in the
same situation and watches how each reacts to it
in his own way.
I think she would recognize her story
in the book as a whole, but she wouldn't necessarily have
been confronted by the
same situations with which my
character is confronted.
In the spirit of the successful USA Network series Burn Notice and Royal Pains comes a new series concept... well, actually, it
's not really a new concept... specifically, it
's the
same concept as Burn Notice and Royal Pains, given a new setting, new
characters, a new profession and a new catchy name that suggests the profession and
situation of the main
character!
With twenty - two abilities per class, plus many of the abilities can have more than one point put into them, there
's certainly plenty of choice
in how to craft your
character, especially as Amalur has taken the
same approach as Skyrim and doesn't force you to pick one class, instead you
're free to distribute points as you choose, either creating a specialised
character who unlocks the most powerful abilities or a more rounded
character who has a wider choice of how to approach a
situation.
Who knew that at the
same time that Nintendo
was railing against Sega and Mortal Kombat, they
were releasing comedy games with Mario
characters in sexual
situations, tobacco usage and domestic violence?
The main story
was a lot of fun to play through even though the
character did not always make the exact
same choices I would have
in the things that
were said and done, but given the
situation the main
character was in nothing actually felt out of place.
The
same criticism would
be here but at least I'd have a giggle at seeing classic
characters in ridiculous
situations.
SASRT leaves you with this frustrating dilemma which can only
be overcome by wasting time trying out different
characters in the
same situations.
When I first started playing One Piece I found myself using the
same characters and moves
in every battle I fought, but the more I progressed the more I switched things up — eventually learning which moves work best
in certain
situations and even picking
characters depending on who I
was to
be facing off against.
But we care about Jim Henson's
characters even when they
're in preposterous
situations, and I think the
same could
be done for Fox McCloud and his compatriots and antagonists.
Is it not plausible that instead of a
situation existing where scientists —
in some cases the
same scientist — use identical tactics behind cancerous second - hand smoke and ozone depletion denial to sow disinformation over climate science which delays political action, that we instead have —
in some cases — the
same small clique of enviro - activists (none of whom possessing science expertise to prove Dr Singer's atmospheric assessments
are disinformation) attempting to prop up unsupportable political agendas through the use of
character assassination disinformation?
I've recently started my own blog and my main goal
is helping others
in the
same situation as I
am, buying a house with zero
character and trying to make it a HOME.
