The cel - shaded art style is truly timeless and while
some character models show some age the game as a whole still looks beautiful in 2012.
The character models show smoother edges and the textures look very impressive.
There's no shying away from brutality here, either, as Lara gets beaten, battered, drowned, shot, impaled and more throughout her journey, surviving numerous falls and excruciating injuries, all of which
her character model show.
The textures received a nice boost in detail, some of the stone ground textures in Castle Town really show this off, and Zant's
character model shows some really impressive detail.

Don't get me wrong, the game looked great with an incredible atmosphere and detailed environments, but the in - game
character models weren't anything super special and in stark contrast to the Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within-esque
models shown during loading screens.
