«Red Dog» is one of the more earnestly charming films I've seen this year if not a terribly ambitious one, but it knows what it wants to do, does it spectacularly well, and charmed the pants right off of this reviewer.

This is the most
charming film I
've ever
seen.
So the success of the
film then boils down to Stiller playing a figure of such
charm that we
'd all hate to
see him hit the fan.
As
charming and gently agreeable as Kung Fu Panda 2 may be, screenwriters Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger, returning from the first
film, haven't really upped the ante like we expect a sequel to do — much of what transpires here feels so comfortable as to be overwhelmingly familiar, as if you might
have seen this movie before and let it slip your mind — until the very end, with its hint of yet another sequel that
has me highly intrigued.
An extended cut of the
film's previously - released trailer (
see above) offers a better look at Hazel's daily life, via a talk with her parents - one that's rather different than the conversations most teens
have with their mom and dad - as well as an extra moment or two between she and the young Augustus Waters (Elgort): a teen amputee and bone cancer survivor, whose thirst for life and upbeat personality make it all but impossible for Hazel to be immune to his
charms (or so the trailer informs us, anyway).
And I'll be talking about how wonderful it was there, up in the mountains of Colorado in this
charming town where everyone
has a dog and it rains every afternoon, where I first
saw these outstanding
films.
Bridget Jones used to be adorable and charismatic in the first
film, but now it can be irritating to
see her behave so much like a retard; besides, the movie
has a lot of clichés and doesn't manage to be consistently funny, even if it does
have its hilarious moments and some
charm.
I haven't
seen Turbo, the latest 3D animated
film in cinemas starring Ryan Reynolds, but from the trailers and general feedback it looks like the harmless and
charming fun that we're used to from DreamWorks Animation.
It seems like ages since I
've seen Gwyneth Paltrow in a
film, and she's
charming and eminently likeable here, even if she exists only to round out Stark.
I could add a couple more: Anomalisa (Charlie Kaufman and Duke Johnson, 2015)-- the most original
film I
saw in 2015 La belle équipe (Julien Duvivier, 1936)-- a great
film from this interesting and underrated director Die grosse Liebe (Otto Ludwig Preminger, 1931)-- Preminger's first
film, a
charming romance with a mother character that could
have stepped out of a John Ford
film; and does the revelation of Preminger's full name explain why Billy Wilder
had a character in One, Two, Three (1961) called Otto Ludwig Piffel?
Geoffrey Rush — King's Speech — strong, mischievious,
charming as all hell, and very intelligent — he made a far - fetched character really work Miles Teller — Rabbit Hole — God this guy blew me away — I could sit and watch him watch Kidman for hours — the vulnerability, the hopeless hope, the teary eyes — he melted my heart in that
film more than anybody else — I
've already been to IMDB to
see what his next project will be!
Watch it only out of curiosity, and know that it's a much different sort of
film, not really carrying much of the
charm you
've seen before.
We were lucky enough to
have Peter join us at UNIT BAR, where he shared
charming, insightful and emotional stories on the topic of our favourite Bogdanovich
films, specifically those that are criminally under -
seen for various reasons: Saint Jack, The Thing Called Love, Texasville, and Noises Off... He also mentions two new projects in development at the time, including She's Funny That Way (formerly known as Squirrel to the Nuts).
It does not
have the
charm of the first
film and it almost falls apart without
seeing the first
film.
Haven't
seen any of Mike Leigh's
films (a fact I should amend), but some of his short
films are
charming.
While it's different from the Muppet movies I
saw as a child, this
film has the same
charm and irreverence I
've come to expect from these fuzzy little guys.
The
charming film was quite enjoyable, I
would actually recommend it and I hope people get a chance to
see it, a very amusing little romantic comedy.
Anyway, aside from not being as good as one of the five greatest
films of all - time, this is a fine
film, easily the most pleasant and
charming Bergman I
've seen.
Even as early as his first feature Spanking the Monkey, it
has been clear that much of the
charm of his
films has not necessarily come from plot, but more from
seeing what the characters will do next within the structure of the plot.

has been
seen in novels and

charming and quiet island on the Ionian Sea that you
have probably already
seen without knowing it through the
film Captain Corelli's Mandolin.
The opening looks like a Dreamworks or similarly - styled
film, and
has a character and
charm you just don't seem to
see as much of on Xbox.
Lomborg, as always, is
charming and persuasive, frequently shown riding his bicycle through Copenhagen's busy streets — in what
has to be
seen as a dig at Gore, who in his
film is often
seen racing through airports.
