When a significantly
cheaper Android tablet like the Google Nexus 7 is able to pack a quadcore processor (plus a fifth companion core) we were surprised that the Tab 2 10.1 didn't follow suit, but with some of the multi-tasking features on offer Samsung has opted to include an Exynos Quad - core processor and an above tablet average 2 GB of RAM.

There are definitely lessons to be learned from the dirt
cheap Android tablets, Fusion Garage's JooJoo, and the
like — notably, how companies quickly stopped supporting them.
The «we've got a little more to show you» tag line on the invite for the October 23 media event seems to strongly indicate that Apple will finally launch the smaller iPad to take on
