Of course, we don't do oatmeal around here and I'm not about to give my kids Cream of Wheat, so I love serving up a big bowl of this delicious
coconut chia porridge.
Just as was the case
with chia porridge and banana ice cream, there are literally endless combinations of ways you can spice up your chocolate bar.
This nourishing breakfast creation is inspired by the flax /
chia porridge queens — Jessica Sepel AND Amy Crawford from The Holistic Ingredient.
So whenever I
make chia porridge I add ground flax and chopped nuts to give a more grainy and crunchy texture.
Vanilla and
chia porridge topped with coconut yoghurt, homemade granola and raspberries, delicious!!
There are so many other uses for these ingredients
including chia porridge, banana ice cream, healthy energy bars / bits / treats (like this one), and homemade dark chocolate.
I've been eating them everyday... adding them in my fruit bowl,
chia porridge and salads.

I hear you,
chia porridge is definitely not for everyone and can become a bit boring and have a weird texture, I and have personally been trying many different kinds myself and have settled on this with a great variety of toppings.
This chia porridge was my go - to breakfast I made for awhile when I first got here.
The root powder can also be added to foods like smoothies, juices and
