brown rice always seems to want more liquids than white.

For example, one meal would be a slice of grilled
chicken, a cup of
brown rice, and vegetables, such as sweet potato,
on the side.
In other words, stock up
on your oatmeal and
brown rice, the entire produce aisle,
chicken, and nuts — just to name a few examples.
This is what I make
on a typical week as «raw materials» for Hot Plates: 2 - 3 pounds grilled
chicken thighs 2 - 3 pounds
browned ground meat 1 large cabbage, steam - sautéed 1 large spaghetti squash, roasted 1 large cauliflower,
riced in the food processor 2 pounds green beans, steam - sautéed 1 dozen hard - boiled eggs 1 - 2 jicama, peeled and cut into matchsticks Olive Oil Mayo
Pancakes, low sodium turkey bacon, eggs and fruit Thursday: Tuna Steaks with sesame ginger marinade,
brown rice and broccoli Friday: Pizza Saturday: I don't cook
on Saturday so leftovers or we will order from somewhere Sunday: Cranberry Pork Ribs (made a few edits to this recipe: no chili sauce and no red wine vinegar, add 1/2 cup low sodium
chicken broth and dash of red pepper flakes) with smashed potatoes and a veggie
For example, some meals to try out include grilled salmon with a homemade mango salsa and
brown rice on the side, or having some baked
chicken with broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots.
And if all else fails and you forget to do the groceries, my back up option is boiled eggs and avocado
on toast,
brown rice sushi or a takeaway
chicken and pumpkin salad!
