As I understand the conservative position, health
care is not a God given
right and the true sin is those without, or unable to afford, health insurance depending on emergency
care services to provide health
care to themselves and their
children adding to the insurance and health
costs of those that can afford it.
Not only should you look at the long - term expenses but think about the
costs that will suck the money out of your pocketbook
right away — co-pays, insurance deductibles, hospital bills, prescriptions, diapers,
child care, baby shampoos, wipes, diaper rash cream and baby gear or clothes you don't have leftover from your other
children.
Perhaps the best solution would be for a bare minimum of
rights and resources (like full education, health -
care and a steady and adequate food supply) to be guaranteed for a single
child per family with any additional
child recieving no government or NGO aid (all
costs must be borne by the family).
Labour
rights are now enforced; workers receive extra training; members have access to health
care; and families with
children receive an extra salary to cover education
costs.
While there is no monetary value that will
right the wrong that the family suffers, a monetary award may be necessary to help
care for
children left by the deceased, to pay for a mortgage that the surviving spouse did not anticipate paying alone, or for the
costs of burying the deceased.

children at the
cost of their mental health, that some Aboriginal communities don't have access to running water, and that we currently seem determined to impose an economic barrier to accessing primary
care.
