chill weekend days, and quality time with friends.

Now that the school year is in full swing and I'm back to wearing skirts and dresses with high heels most
days of the week, I love being able to be really
chill on the
weekends — with my time and with my clothing choices.
After a mild start to the year, filled with 20 - and 30 - degree
days and lows that just barely drop down to zero, this
weekend we were met well - below - zero temps accompanied by wind
chills that make your face and eyes hurt.
Just when you're starting your work
day or heading out to meet friends for a
weekend brunch all you want to do is retire to the couch for a double dose of Netflix and
chill.
I can not wait for this

days is on the cards, dinner with friends, a little Sunday lunch at Shoreditch house and a morning spent blogging tomorrow.
I've been in a such a great mood this

days with my uni girls laughing and drinking non stop, followed by the most
chilled sunday with my family in the sunshine (when I shot this look with my sister).
We had some close friends stay with us over the
weekend and we just had a really enjoyable

This

chilling at home, after a busy week my body and brain just needed to recharge, hence I didn't feel inspired to get dressed at all, like on Saturday when I ran out to meet my friend David for a coffee, though I was tempted to leave the house in pyjamas and slippers I grabbed for my old cropped denims and favorite oversized knit, yes, we all have those
days don't we?

days off from work for me; I can tie the jacket round my waist if it gets hot or roll the cuffs down to full length if I feel a
chill.
This
weekend went by much too quickly, what with the shorter
days and now the pre-winter
chill that has just officially rolled in.
So braid back your second
day bangs, grab your
chillest sunnies, slip into something silly, and roar into the
weekend!
For me it's one of those fail safe purchases that can be styled for work,
weekends, parties and
chilled days alike.
But if you are trying to get in 5 or 10 miles a
day, or hitting mountain trails on the
weekends, or perhaps there's the summer heat or winter
chill to contend with, you'll want to be prepared to admit that maybe your best friend needs to wait for you at home.
