Since I never say no to more chocolate, I used both melted dark chocolate and dark chocolate cocoa powder in the

chips and semi-sweet chocolate chunks (over the weekend, I found
out I had approximately 19 half - used bags
of chocolate
chips in my kitchen cabinet, and this recipe was the perfect way to put some
of them to good use!).
I like to throw a handful
of chocolate
chips into the
batter for extra-fudgy brownies, but you could add nuts instead or leave
out the mix - ins completely.
We added a touch
of salt and vanilla to our
batter out of habit and a few more chocolate
chips Willow's face lit up during her first bite and said we have to make these again!
The first time I tried to make them I didn't oil it and it took ages to
chip the burned pizzelle
batter out of the tiny patterns in the iron!
Sprinkle the remaining chocolate
chips over the top, then bake in the preheated oven for 55 - 65 minutes, until the top is browning and a toothpick inserted near the center
of the loaf comes
out clean (chocolate is okay, no
batter.)
Also, a tip for the chocolate
chips: once you have your cookie
batter laid
out on the baking sheet, add another
chip or two (or three:) to the top
of each cookie (pressing down very gently to adhere)-- these additions should be visible on the baked cookie!

When toothpick comes
out free

chips on it though), your bread is done.
After 8 minutes pull the brownies
out, and top with the caramel sauce (spreading it very gently to make an even layer), sprinkle with chocolate
chips, and then glob on the second half
of the
batter.
At work I added mini chocolate
chips to the
batter and I used 3 medium eggs instead
of 2 large eggs and it came
out perfectly.

I only had one loaf pan so I divided the remaining
batter between 6 mini Bundt pans I added a handful
of chocolate
chips and poured into three Bundt pans and then added a handful
of fresh cranberries to the remaining mini Bundt pans turned
out better than the loaf
I also added pecans on top, and swapped
out the walnuts and chocolate
chips in the
batter of the bread.
That half - hour lull before the pub closed, Captin and Ruby enjoyed the easy quiet and didn't talk much while they worked: he checked the range and flicked a glob
of batter in to test the fat; she scoured the counter and put
out fresh greaseproof squares beside the paper, ready to wrap
chips, then Captin wiped the counter down again.
