choc chips into this recipe (or chunks of dark chocolate) and take it to the next level!
And seeing that you are endorsing pester power, why don't you just throw
the choc chips into the mix — baking with chocolate is so yummy Honestly these muffins look delish but they are such wannabe choc chip muffins

you know what's crazy is that when I was in Aruba I had a mishmash of all kinds of stuff in my cupboards and I made some bars (I made lots of white
choc fudge too) but I * almost * threw some potato
chips and Cheetos
into it.
The only thing I did differently was to put the pan back
into the oven after pouring the
choc chips — this helped them melt more quickly and made spreading a breeze (I turned the oven off — be careful not to overheat or the
choc will seize).
Pour
into a bowl, add dry ingredients (except
choc chips and banana chunks) and stir together until well mixed.
They may allow slight variations for the addition of a complementary flavour or a dash of alcohol — Cointreau and orange zest, Frangelico and a few hazelnuts, rum and coconut, Chambord and raspberry jam, brandy, chilli, mint, almond, ginger — but pumpkin or
choc chip cookie or red velvet would send them
into a tizzy.
