I see you suggest
melting choc chips, but do you think you could use any chocolate?
The only thing I did differently was to put the pan back into the oven after pouring the
choc chips — this helped them
melt more quickly and made spreading a breeze (I turned the oven off — be careful not to overheat or the
choc will seize).
Optional toppings:
melted chocolate or candy
melt or confectioner's sugar glaze, same with mini
choc chips, toasted nuts, sprinkles.
I make several variations - add nuts, mini chocolate
chips or make chocolate swirl bread by taking one cup of batter and mixing in approx. 1/4 c.

Hi, i haven't been able to find any dairy free soya free
choc chips, I have cacao powder and a cacao block, just wondering if I
melted some with coconut oil, and sweetened with xylitol, would be an ok substitute for the
choc chips?
Thank you Elana!!!!! I have been trying to create these using your almond flour book and a recipe off the internet that was way too long and way too complicated, and I ended up making bars because it's easier... and I threw the
choc chips on top (after several attempts of crumbly messes, I was OVER
melting the chocolate).
