Just made these, along with a simplified
version of your orange
chocolate coconut clusters (just used
chocolate and
coconut), for a family sweets exchange.
The
chocolate versions produce a bit more bark since you're adding more ingredients than just the
coconut butter.
Thursday: Girl Scout Gumbo (hamburger, vegetable soup, cheese, onion, green pepper, served on Fritos — I have a gluten and diary free
version), Milky Way Salad (Milky way pieces, apples, bananas, cool whip — We have vanilla
coconut - based yogurt with apple slices and gluten and dairy free
chocolate chips), box oven brownies.
Then try this delicious
version that's made gluten - free my using almond and
coconut flour for the
chocolate cookie crust.
The bag never lasted very long; (My fancier
version here includes two more favorite foods: Dark
Chocolate and some shredded
Coconut flakes.
In this dairy - free
version of champurrado, almond milk forms the base for spiced hot
chocolate thickened with masa harina, all decked out in
coconut whipped cream and hella
chocolate.
Use it to make hot cacao with
coconut cream and almond milk this season and you will never want the standard
version of hot
chocolate again!
To make real
chocolate you don't use
coconut oil, you use cocoa butter and cocoa powder (or cacao
versions which are less processed if you want to get really authentic) and a sweetener like ricemalt syrup.
I think I will have to try making my own
version of a peanut butter cup by adding this to one of my
coconut oil
chocolate recipes.
Whatever you call this dessert, be sure to make this Paleo
version; the flaky pecan crust, creamy «cheese» and
chocolate layers, and whipped
coconut cream are just as scrumptious as the original!
but they sound awesome, and I love your healthy
version with the
coconut caramel and dark
chocolate dip.

1 heaping cup to be exact, mixed in with dark
chocolate chips, pure maple syrup and topped with peppermint «white
chocolate» made from
coconut... a healthier
version of peppermint bark, or what we like to call «Christmas Crack!»
Ingredients 1 1/2 cups rolled oats 1/4 cup flaxseed meal 1/4 cup sunflower seeds 1/3 cup pumpkin seeds 1/2 cup cashews 1/2 cup macadamia nuts 1/8 cup shredded
coconut 1/2 cup raw honey (or swap with
coconut nectar, maple syrup, or brown rice syrup for vegan
version) 1 cup natural peanut butter 1/2 cup
chocolate chips
I also substituted the ghee for
coconut flour, the honey for maple syrup (same proportions), and added in some cocoa poweder to make a
chocolate version of the cookies.

Raw cacao butter (the raw
version of cocoa butter)-- This is the oil from the cacao bean (where
chocolate comes from) and it's made of saturated fats that will turn to liquid (oil) when heated and harden back up in a firm texture once cooled, just like
coconut oil.
For the pistachio or
coconut version, gently roll the
chocolate covered strawberry in the topping of choice before placing it onto the parchment - lined baking sheet.
