So here I am at 9PM on a Tuesday, eating dark
chocolate nonpareils in bed and getting ready to binge watch start season three of OITNB (by the way, my friend wrote a brilliant piece on the show)(which I don't recommend reading unless you've started season three or thoroughly enjoy spoilers, like me).

These are the simple ingredients you'll need to make these precious iced animal crackers from scratch: a homemade batch or two of circus animal crackers, three premium white
chocolate baking bars, pink gel food coloring (I use Wilton Neon Gel Food Coloring), and
nonpareil rainbow sprinkles.
After dipping in
chocolate, I coat the
chocolate in colored
nonpareils / sprinkles which looks nice on a cookie tray and roughly doubles their kid - appeal which was, frankly, already quite high.
It is not always easy to get sprinkles to adhere to the cookie, especially if you would rather use something like
chocolate jimmies or rainbow
nonpareils, rather than just plain old colored sugars.
