When the caramel filing has firmed, pour the melted
chocolate topping over the caramel.
With an icing spatula, spread
the chocolate topping over the cake.
You can pour
the chocolate topping over the caramel layer and put it in the freezer to harden, or you can transfer it to an icing bottle (or plastic bag with the corned snipped) and drizzle it over each slice, like I did.

Spread the
Chocolate Frosting
over the
top of the cake.
Melt the
chocolate in the
top of a double boiler
over simmering water until smooth and melted, stirring occasionally.
Drizzle the
chocolate over the
top.
so perfect for fall, and the
chocolate sauce really puts it
over the
top!
Melt the
chocolate and coconut oil in a double boiler
over medium - low heat or place a glass bowl on
top saucepan of simmering water.
Evenly scrape the
chocolate mixture
over the pecans and smooth it across the
top.
To the cooled brownie, pour the melted
chocolate chips
over the
top and even spread.
Sprinkle remaining
chocolate shavings
over the
top of the cake.
Once the cookies are completely cooled, turn them
over, and smear a small amount of melted
chocolate on the bottom of one of them, and then place the other one bottom side down on

I left my loaf plain and simple, but a handful of

top once cool would no doubt be wonderful.

Now for the moment of truth — once your
chocolate layer has been in the freezer for a day, put a plate or cake plate on
top of the ice cream cake and flip the whole thing
over, so it's all resting on the plate now.
But, our neighbor use to make this dark
chocolate cake with ganache frosting that was rich, moist and not at all
over the
top sweet like most layer cakes.
Spread the
chocolate glaze
over the
top, allowing the glaze to drip down the sides.
