Normal is far from a bore, and shy of a somewhat delayed throttle response, it's the wisest
choice for daily
driving.
For a good compromise between affordability and kit, our
choice would be the SE, which includes useful rear parking sensors — a godsend with long estate cars — front foglights and a selector to switch between
Normal, Eco, Sport and Individual
driving modes.
While Eco deadens throttle response and is quick to upshift, and
Normal feels good
for everyday
driving, Sport was my default mode of
choice.
Our preview
drive began in the City by the Bay, and the car gave us three
choices for its
drive mode: Eco,
Normal, and Sport.
Drive has
choice of three suspension modes: Comfort,
Normal and R (
for circuit applications).
While Comfort mode is particularly well suited to
normal road conditions, city
driving and short journeys, Sport will be the mode of
choice for drivers looking to push on twisty country roads.
