Peanut oil is low in cholesterol and contains phytosterols that compete with
cholesterol for absorption in the digestive system, right?
Several clinical trials have reported that diets that incorporate avocado may help lower levels of L.D.L., or «bad,» cholesterol, because the fruit contains plant sterols called phytosterols that compete with
cholesterol for absorption in the intestines.
β - sitosterol (beta - sitosterol), a phytosterol that competes with dietary
cholesterol for absorption and so may reduce blood cholesterol levels, is also unusually rich.
Structurally similar to the body's cholesterol, and when consumed they compete with
cholesterol for absorption in the digestive system, resulting in blocked cholesterol absorption and reduced blood cholesterol levels.
Add 2 grams of plant stanols and sterols to your daily diet Plant stanols and sterols are natural compounds found in vegetable oils, nuts, and seeds that compete with
cholesterol for absorption into the bloodstream from the gastrointestinal tract and thus decrease the amount of cholesterol that makes it into your system.

Rich in healthy
cholesterols and essential fatty - acids, they are among the best sources of natural Vitamin A. Furthermore, the combined fats in the cream and egg yolks are key in slowing the
absorption of sugar in the blood stream
for greater stability.
Stanols are closely linked to sterols; they both fall under the «phytosterol» umbrella (phytosterols have a similar molecular structure to
cholesterol, and compete with it
for absorption).

for proper function of prostate gland; prevents prostate cancer and sterility; keeps hair glossy and smooth.
The reason alpha - cyclodextrins lower postprandial glucose and
cholesterol, and the reason they got relatively easy approval
for use as food additives even in the EU, is because they aren't absorbed systemically: they work largely as soluble fiber does, binding excreted bile acids and slowing
absorption of glucose.
There are several treatments
for high
cholesterol, including niacin, bile - acid resins, fibrates, and Zetia, a

As demonstrated in this article, it takes a LOT of vegetables to equal the nutrient density of a much smaller animal product (like liver and vitamin A), not even considering that the animal product likely has proper fat and
cholesterol attached
for absorption purposes.
MGs, FFAs, and free
cholesterol are then solubilized in the intestine by bile acid micelles, which shuttle them to intestinal villi
for absorption.
Bile acid sequestrant drugs that are used
for high
cholesterol (cholestyramine, colestipol, colesevelam) may reduce the liver's reabsorption of bile from the gut and may reduce the
absorption of thyroid medication
Just one avocado per day provides phytosterols — which inhibit the
absorption of
cholesterol; lutein
for healthy eyes and skin; and, of course, vitamin C, manganese, selenium, zinc plus many other life - supportive nutrients.
Because of this similarity, these sterols can block the
absorption of dietary
cholesterol, which in turn is beneficial
for our blood
cholesterol levels.
Down in the small intestine, the stimulation caused by the bitter taste prompts your liver to increase its production of bile, and your gallbladder to increase bile excretion.2, 3,11 Bile is necessary
for fat digestion and the
absorption of fat - soluble nutrients such as vitamins A, D and E. 12 Healthy bile flow helps rid the liver of waste products such as oxidized
cholesterol and hormonal metabolites, prevents gall stone formation, and provides lubrication of the intestines, easing the passage of stool.4, 12 It should not be surprising that by enhancing movement of waste products out of the liver, bitter herbs have been found to exert a protective effect in liver conditions such as hepatitis and cirrhosis.2

If you are deficient in Vitamin D your liver produces more
cholesterol, which is needed
for proper
absorption, to grab whatever Vitamin D is available.
Viscous fibers may interfere with the
absorption and enterohepatic recirculation of bile acids and
cholesterol in the intestine, forcing the liver to synthesize more
cholesterol to meet the need
for bile acid synthesis, and thus decreasing circulating
cholesterol.
The cool thing about these real food ingredients is that they multi-task, not only providing the macro-nutrients (fat, protein, carbohydrates,
cholesterol), but also providing vitamins, minerals, probiotics, etc in bio-available form
for your baby's ease in
absorption.
