All in all, this course helped me to understand that it is important for educators to follow the correct protocol when dealing with situations in and out of the classroom (e.g., speaking with parents or the principal concerning an issue that they should be aware of), think carefully before
choosing an intervention for a
scenario, cooperate with others to achieve a common goal, and know and
practice various standards such as diversity, ethics, professionalism, in addition to the role of the teacher at all times, (Student KNOW1)
Until the scientific establishment gives policy makers a range of choices to
choose from as a response to your
scenario, rather than your one solution (CO2 emission reduction) you are
practicing politics, not science.
Even in a best - case
scenario — where aviation companies
choose to buy only UNFCCC credits, and the UNFCCC
chooses not to include forest and land use credits — there's still another way that airlines could be offsetting emissions on paper and increasing emissions in
practice: double counting.
