The next morning I had buttermilk date ice cream with orange blossom water and one of my failed pie crusts for breakfast (failure is good for something, at least)
with chopped pecans on top.
Also I added about 1 - 2 tb of coconut, and 1/2 t of baking powder plus
chopped pecans on top as another reader mentioned and it worked a treat.
Transfer the batter into the baking tray and sprinkle the remaining 1/4 of
the chopped pecans on top.
Sprinkle some oats and
chopped pecans on top.
Flecks of vanilla are dotted throughout the frosting and there is a little extra crunch from
the chopped pecans on top.
Sprinkle
the chopped pecans on top and bake in preheated oven for 12 minutes or until the cake springs back when touched.
