Cacao nibs are not cheap (they cost about $ 10 per cup) so I would probably substitute with
some chopped up dark chocolate next time.

I will admit, I changed the recipe slightly — I used whole milk, and

dark chocolate instead of the chips, and I used white whole wheat flour.
