The
film does falter when Letts and Friedkin
choose to take it outside of its theatrical origins, especially in a motorcycle
scene that feels like it came
from another movie, but it's a minor complaint.
One of the most impressive things of Bahrani and Bahareh Azimi «s script is that it sets up
scenes which could have followed into much more dramatic outcomes but the writers
chose to take the road less traveled and in an odd way, by taking the less dramatic approach, the
film removes itself that much further
from the majority of indie
films that concern themselves with cramming the most amount of drama into the least amount of time.
Birdman «Times Square Lockout» I could have
chosen the final
scene or Edward Norton getting a hard on in front of a live audience or really any
scene from Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's visionary
film, but this is the
scene everybody keeps talking about.
In collaboration with the Parisian agency les bons faiseurs, La Semaine
chose the image which better reflects this 50 +5 edition: the magnificent actress Jessica Chastain in a
scene from Take Shelter, second feature
film by Jeff Nichols where her performance in one of her first leading roles was particularly remarked.

Though I thought about putting together a list of my five favorite
scenes from the
film in celebration of the Blu - ray release, I quickly realized that there were far too many great moments to
choose from to settle on just five.
The Humane Society of the United States has
chosen Uggie, the world famous,
scene - stealing Jack Russell terrier
from last year's Academy Award - winning
film «The Artist,» to be the spokesdog for its Pets of Valor Award.
