Christian, Catholic, Muslim, Mormon, etc.) are one of the PRIMARY reasons why the

in a perpetual state of Wars / Strife, because it seems they can't think or act without INJECTING THEIR religion into an issue.
So that even though the center of gravity of the
Christian's
faith is not really

world at all, yet as far as this life is concerned God is always his contemporary.
But apart from these there is also the fact that the Church

Christian world is still on the way from being an established Church (that is, a social institution to which all more or less belong) to a Church of personal
