I've been in the
Christian faith for
over 16 years, and I believe, that you and I, nor
anyone here, were there when Judas «betrayed» Jesus.
... What has happened
over time is that people were forced to believe in the one of the Abrahamic faiths through Holy wars, torture, Crusades and Inquisitions, and as people practiced this chosen people ideology, whether
Christian, Catholic, Jew or Muslim, which was built on the principle of remaining segregated from the un-chosen, their faith urged them to remain segregated, where they lived and never to marry
anyone outside their faith... and even in death there is a history of segregation which to this day continues, try having a non Jewish person buried in Jewish cemetery.
Christians are not trying to take
over these holidays nor is
anyone suggesting they should not exist.
I don't impose my
Christian beliefs on
anyone but have consistently been attacked by atheists dozens of times
over my life.
Such attempts at saying things that every religious community can agree upon are about as useful to a serious
Christian or a serious Buddhist as a pacifier is to
anyone over the age of four.
But, when a
Christian who is in a position of authority as a minister, priest, bishop, or what have you, abuses that authority, it does cast a shadow
over anyone with the label, when the issue is not the faith itself, but the position of authority and it's abuse.

anyone successfully argue that Hitlers actions were anything other than motivated by german nationalism, however, I do think horrendous theology in Christianity
over the centuries has contributed a great deal to anti-semitism, so I do think we as
Christians have an ownership of a great deal of the holocaust and I wont shy away from that.
So just to understand this, I was told when I was a
Christian if I don't believe in Jesus being the Messiah or the Virgin Birth I will be cursed and go to hell and
anyone who doesn't believe in Jesus as our chosen Messiah will not enter into the kingdom of Heaven, yet
Christians say biblical prophecy has been fulfilled with the state of Israel and God is watching
over and blessing the Jews.

anyone should believe the
Christian supernatural tale
over that of the Muslims, Hindus, Mormons, etc...
While I admire the performances in «The Big Short,» especially Steve Carell (who I would argue deserved the nomination
over Christian Bale, if
anyone did), and appreciate how McKay distilled a complex subject into something entertaining, there's a manic
over-direction to «The Big Short» that irks me.
