was the first
thing I read this Sunday morning before going to
church and I wanted to extend a special «THANKS» not only for the support you provide to those who actually need it most but also for your
wonderful message for those family members who think they need to hear and understand it the least.
You indeed,
are using PART of it right now, the rest
being separation of
church and state, a
wonderful thing that
is being diluted recently AND FREEDOM OF RELIGION.
I think their
are some excellent
churches out there, and people who do not attend also grow in spiritually and do many
wonderful things for God's Kingdom on their own.
If I find my unconditional love and acceptance in a
church community, then what a
wonderful thing that
is.
There
are two
wonderful things that give me a positive wow factor every day — the increasing number of people I discover doing fantastically brilliant stuff, quietly and without fuss, living out the Gospel of Christ in gentle, caring, loving ways, most of which the
church institution hasn't got a clue about because it
's too dam busy running itself.
It
is also true that the
church does many good and
wonderful things... many want to do what
is right... I believe in the
church and would rather gain insight into the
church from individuals whose foundation
is based on believing in the intrinsic goodness on which we operate.
(I did meet his wife though, after about 20 years — she
was wonderful) I
was in all the prayer / intercession groups (I
was called to prayer and a few other
things) and several times one of the other pray - ers sort of intimated that ours
was «The»
church of the city, and I'd always then start praying for every God called
church in my city.
One of the
wonderful things about the Episcopal
Church and other mainline traditions
is their affirmation of reason and their willingness to see both sides of an argument and
be open to ambiguity.
Forget the beliefs or no belief, this
church is doing a
wonderful thing.
i can feel love for him throughout my heart and soul... i want to grow old with this man... i
am 47 and he
is 45... he has never
been married... he said there
is not a chance of getting back together again regardless of how we feel towards each other because we committed adultery and God will never forgive us and it will
be wrong to do so... so
am i supposed to go on living my life
being so deeply in love with this man i can never have... why would God put him in my life to make me feel so spiritually happy, so
wonderful, so at peace with myself and someone I can finally worship Him with just to take him away from me... I've never
been with someone who
was so religious and i thought this
was it... i finally have someone to read the bible with and go to
church with and put God first and share
things with my self and my daughter as a loving relationship would
be....
I would never give money to a religious organization that doesn't pay taxes — that
is like giving money to my kids — and they need it more than the
church... I think faith
is a
wonderful thing for a lot of people — including myself (I have faith in myself)-- I just wish others would keep their «faith» personal, and out of politics and government.

thing called «mountain pilgrims» which
is sort of beginning to
be a fresh expression of
church which
is encouraging people to make a link between natural beauty and the sense of awe and wonder which they feel at that and then a sense of awe and wonder at the Creator who created this
wonderful beauty.»
While on one hand this
is a
wonderful thing, it often poses a whole new set of complex issues and
churches are often a bit lost as to how to deal with them.
Next Sunday, in the First
Church of Nixie, New York, or the Saint Waldemar's
Church of Proxie, Alabama, I
am sure the respective ministers will declare that love
is a
wonderful thing, that Jesus agreed with their opinions; so why doesn't everybody get on the bandwagon and love one another — taking it easy, of course, with Negroes, minority groups, homosexual persons, criminals, the mentally ill, and many others?
The same God
is the author of our natural intellect as well as revelation, as classical Catholic theology so often reminds us, so we should not
be surprised if what the
Church teaches makes
wonderful sense also just from a purely natural point of view and people end up doing what the
Church recommends, not because she recommends it, but just because it
is the most sensible
thing to do.
In your distorted view, you probably think that adding believers to your «flock»
is a
wonderful thing that «glorifies» your «god» and so will not complain too loudly in
church when someone
is sent «into the mission field» to «help» people join you in your distorted and delusional religion.»
As they praised God and as the apostles did many
wonderful things, they at first found favor with all the people, and every day new converts
were added to the
church.

things to do at work, but MUST leave early as tonight
is the
wonderful benefit that my parents
church has put on for my mom and dad.
You would think that what all this prefrontal cortex real estate would do for us
is allow us to do all these
wonderful things like paint and make music and speak and build
churches and cities and schools and have systems of justice, but at an anatomical level one of its most distinguishing characteristics
is that it
's full of inhibitory circuits.
I
am grateful today for: - 1 - God in my life 2 - God providng me with a
wonderful home
