I know one of the biggest reasons why
churches control people.

If we point
people to
churches that have a proper understanding (of God and the human) and focus on Christ and what He has done instead of us and what «we do»... then you can have a
church with a proper anthropology and you can have honesty and less phoniness and
control.

The leaders hide
church history from its members, when we find it, we take it to them, and of course are called aposates, there are so many mental systems in place at every level to
control the
people and there thoughts and actions, at a very young age.
The religious among us keep trying to chip away at the separation of
church and state by making
people recite the pledge of allegiance with the God clause, installing religious symbols and displays on public property, holding prayer breakfasts for politicians, berating the removal of prayer in public schools, trying to pass laws limiting women's access to birth
control, and trying to get an amendment passed outlawing abortion (since in their view God creates a soul the moment a sperm enters an egg).
This is the
church that perpetrated the dark ages, sided with hitler, tells
people in third world countries that if they birth
control they will go to hell, etc..
if your so called god will forgive murders and child molesters as long as they go to confession and say 10 worthless and meaningless prayers, don!t you think god would forgive a
person the tales birth
control, if there really was a god, which there is not, I do not believe in god or wasting time going to
church to try to get myself into the dream world heaven, but if I am wrong I am going to hell because that's where all my friends are going and I don, t want to hang out for eternity with you morons in heaven.

In this current economy where
people are struggling to make ends meet the catholic
church wants a husband and wife to abstain from intimacy because that is the only form of brith
control they approve of.
It is these aspects of the
church:
control of the finances of members,
control over all aspects of interpersonal relationships, segregation of believers into levels of worthiness, not to mention the dubious credibility of the sole
person who made up the entire religion... That make Mormonism look a whole lot more like a cult than a religion.

people, or whatever), attempts to impose their opinions and wishes on those over whom they somehow attempt to assume «authority» and
control.

people with knowledge as a threat to their

The simple truth is that the internet and social media has userped the power of the «
church» to
control the
people, and
people who once occupied pews now find it easier to find like minded believers (of all fathis and creeds) online and can be exposed to any theology they want by simply using Google.
My experience and observation is that the
church is a safe haven for abuse, manipulation,
control, bullying, and strong - armed tactics that chew
people up and spit them out, leaving countless voiceless victims in its wake.
The bullies have been in the
church for many years, and make it their personal mission to
control everyone including the pastor, and bullying is often their chief tool for
controlling people.
And that presumption has severely weakened the
Church in America of being the kind of community that produces
people that can stand against the pretensions of a nation state that is out of

churches because they are terrified of going to hell to burn forever.
I believe that it is part of the desire to have power and

God,
