Rather than break out the ornaments (with the movers coming soon after Christmas), we bought some small gold glass balls that E picked out (because they were «shiny») and made
cinnamon applesauce ornaments and dried some orange slices.
I have always loved decorating the alpine tree with grungy candy canes, warm scented spice lights and homemade
cinnamon applesauce ornaments.
The cookies I used for my vignette and tree were actually
cinnamon applesauce ornaments.
My grandmother always had homemade

Right now she is more than happy with a scoop of
cinnamon applesauce, a coconut avocado mash and a slice of grapefruit to chew on.

That said, I reduced the sugar to 1 c, used
cinnamon applesauce instead of oil, soaked the raisins in Amaretto for 30 minutes prior to adding to the mix (I had no rum).

I don't normally add
applesauce to oatmeal but I accidentally added way too much
cinnamon and I figured the
applesauce would tone down the strong
cinnamon taste, which it did!
I used some peeled chopped apples, a little coconut palm sugar,
cinnamon, raisins, cornstarch and a bit of
applesauce to hold everything together.
I added some
cinnamon and
applesauce until I felt the taste was right.
To that, add the coconut oil,
applesauce,
cinnamon, vanilla, cardamom and salt.
Serve warm with
applesauce or maple syrup and a dusting of
cinnamon.
