I made two versions of
almond butter — in one I used raw
almonds only and in the other I used
almonds that I
roasted with
cinnamon and salt.
For raw
butter, skip the
roasting step — Just place raw
almonds, sea salt and
cinnamon in food processor and puree until smooth.
Friday's breakfast was steel cut oats with
almond butter stirred in, topped with
cinnamon, desiccated coconut, and
roasted sunflower seeds.
Roasted almond butter mixed with a touch of coconut oil (it gives it a nice mouth feel) along with a touch of maple syrup for sweetness and
cinnamon.
