Nintendo and the Pokemon Group have re-released two
classic Pokemon games from the yesteryear of previous generations, for gamers rocking a Nintendo 3DS.

Some of my favorite
classic games (in my opinion) are... (Myst, Tomb Raider 1 - 3, Conquest of the New World, Ages of Empires, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 (chao kick ass)
Pokemon Yellow, Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past & Link's Awakening, Syphon Filter 1 & 2).
That's not to say that it isn't without value, of course:
Pokemon Silver is as solid a
game as it's ever been, and its core gameplay is sure to appeal to RPG fans, particularly
classic RPG fans, since the underlying elements of the genre have remained essentially unchanged for decades.
If you like
Pokemon, Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Xenoblade, or any
classic JRPG for that matter, you need to go pick up this
game.

The gameplay that meshes the
classic Pokemon formula with dungeon crawling works very well and the inclusion of the full lineup of
Pokemon is very impressive, but the pace of the story surrounding the gameplay is so off in the early
game that it can take a long time to really get invested in
Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon.
Perhaps, one of the older
Pokemon games will become a 3D
classic, but my bet is the biggest news being a demo for Super Mario 3D Land.
Robin has been a
gamer for a very long time, claiming to have loved such
classics as Super Mario Bros., Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Street Fighter II and
Pokemon Yellow, while playing in a very device agnostic way.
Pokken Tournament, the
Pokemon based fighting
game that fans have been eagerly awaiting for years has slowly been releasing a roster that ensures it won't be full of Fighting - type
Pokemon knocking each other around as
classic Ghost / Poison type Gengar has now been revealed in a new trailer.
The original theme is a
classic, evoking the original sense of adventure and journey that comes with the
Pokemon games and anime.
Nintendo have released lots of
games other than their
classic Pokemon RPGs, Red / Blue, Diamond / Pearl, etc., releasing flops such as
Pokemon Dash, and the Mystery Dungeon series, which has become a franchise in itself.
But rather than engage in power showdown, the Japanese company will likely cast it bets to the millions of fans of Nintendo
games out there whose craze from the revivals of
classic games Pokemon Go and Super Mario are far from over.
Regardless of what I think, it turns out Nintendo wasn't bluffing when they talked up their ongoing 3DS support, because at E3 they added not only that aforementioned 2D Metroid
game, but an expanded remake of GBA
classic Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga that should sit nicely next to
Pokemon Ultra Sun / Ultra Moon in a surprisingly robust year for the six year - old handheld.
Ever since it first debuted on the original Gameboy in the late 1990s,
Pokemon has been one of the most prominent franchises in the Nintendo universe — no easy feat, considering that the Japanese gaming giant was already home to Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Kirby, Metroid and many more of the most popular
classic games and characters the medium has ever produced.
