You have the option to pick from 16 new tracks or 16
classic tracks like in previous installments in the series, but they are all mostly very well designed and look gorgeous.
As usual Mario Kart 8's tracks are a great mix of old and new circuits, featuring
classic tracks like Donut Plains 3, Mario Circuit and Yoshi Valley, all with a new modern spin, mostly through MK 8's new anti-gravity sections.
But the music in the film was easily enough to make this film at least watchable including
classic tracks like «This Town».

like a spiritual mesh of

The gravity - defying
tracks were excellent — in fact, for the first time in a while, I
liked the new
tracks more than the «
classic» ones featured in Mario Kart 8.

track design is spot on, with some
classics like Toad's Turnpike and Rainbow Road (from N64) making return, alongside new
tracks like the slightly intimidating, but ultimately thrilling, Bowser's Castle.
Like with any Mario Kart game the
tracks are what determine how much or little fun the game can be, and Mario Kart 8 brings a fresh set of great
tracks while also bringing back some
classic ones.
Samba de Amigo, for example, used contemporary
tracks from the
likes of German pop group Bellini, Chumbawamba, and Santana, as well as
classic music from the 50s and 60s including
tracks from the Gipsy Kings, Perez Prado, and Quincy Jones.
DLC courses
like Animal Crossing and Hyrule Castle take
classic Nintendo franchises and smartly transform them into unforgettable Mario Kart
tracks.
The menu voices use the
classic «cheesy» announcer -
