Halo is one of the easist FPS games going, your shield allows you to take a whole
clip of ammo then 5 secs later you've regenerate.
There were numerous times when I was able to unload half
a clip of ammo into an enemy only for them to spin around and kill me with the regular amount of rounds.
At first it's sort of distracting you might end up trying to unload
a clip of ammo into someone who isn't even in the Shadow War, but once you get used to it it's nice to see other gamers just going about their business while you're trying to fight for your life.
Enemies are mostly brain - dead, so combat comes down sinking an entire
clip of ammo into the bad guys, who can indeed soak up quite a bit of damage, and then repeating that process until they're all dead, or you are.
Ammo is scarce but every now and then you're treated to a new weapon with a full
clip of ammo.
This isn't like your standard shooter where you can find
clips of ammo in abundance; it's easy to become a miser with regards to bullets as you never can tell what unfathomable scenario you could find yourself in next.
In a big boss battle, I fired many
clips of ammo into them without so much as a flinch to know my shots has connected.

Is there an aid group or something out there that can help these people to get away from their insane neighbors who want to kill them (freely admitting that the majority
of iraqi muslims are not murderers... that much said, it only takes one crazy person with a gun and a full
ammo clip to wipe out a family)... somebody do something...
Tank's Jet Gun alternate fire damage is now reduced depending on the percentage
of ammo left in the
clip.
If you destroy an
ammo warehouse, guards will have only one
clip of AK
ammo, then they will switch to a pistol, and eventually they will have to use a knife.
Your
clip size on the gun is decent, but you will definitely want to conserve
ammo for the later half
of episode 2 as the enemies and bosses become increasingly difficult.
When you get close to running out
of ammo with the gun that is in your right hand, holster your guns, then fire the gun into the air by pressing R2 + R1, you only have to fire it once, and you should notice that the
clip automatically reloads as Kang puts the guns back into his holsters.
In a massive shootout with enemies surrounding me, I found myself quickly unloading bullets into anyone peering out
of cover, while simultaneously grabbing
ammo clips from my holster to reload in one hand and activating explosives along the area with the other.
Not only does it improve the sense
of immersion and atmosphere a game like this is supposed to have, but grabbing that
ammo clip in the corner
of your eye kind
of requires you to see it in the first place.
I also personally want a return
of weapons without
ammo clips, just overheating.
You're main adversary is an armor covered mutant that thinks nothing
of taking a full
ammo clip in the face and then laughing at you.

Each gun has a different amount
of ammo to hold in the
clip, distance the bullet flies and may even slow you down if the gun is super heavy.
You have to remember to purchase or manufacture individual
ammo clips of different ammunition types for every different kind
of weapon, and you have to manually allocate these to every soldier on every mission.
Instead
of arbitrary soldier inventory with a weight limit, X: COM Enemy Unknown has predefined soldier classes with explicit inventory slots (ie, only one grenade per soldier — two if you're lucky), and no
ammo clips to contend with whatsoever.
When you're out
of ammo, you use the other hand to pick up a
clip and insert it in the bottom
of the gun.
On more than one occasion, I emptied every
clip from each
of my weapons into a boss only to receive charitable extra
ammo from the game, since otherwise I'd have no way to finish the mission.
It shoots as far as any other unmodded blaster, takes
clips for high
ammo capacity, and is actually one
of the most accurate
clip - fed gun I've tried.
