We
need at least five quality players a defender, goalkeeper, a defensive midfielder, a attacking midfielder and a
striker Though winning the f.a cup did take a bit of pressure of him only time will tell There got to be a new structure at the
club, and get rid of the also rans like Lucas Perez, Jenkinson, debuchy and sagono
for starters
Uhh guessing this is a question from football retards exam night... We have one quality forward (currently off form) two decent
strikers who can deliver in bursts (but probably wouldn't make the bench of most of rival top 10 european
clubs we aspire to match) and three hugely overrated wing players who should be nowhere near starting in a team aspiring
for top honours at home and abroad... Conclusion we
need at least 3 new attacking options in the summer....
Last week saw Arsenal complete the transfer of Mohamed Elneny from Basel and today we added a new contract
for our Spanish left back Nacho Monreal and while a lit of Arsenal fans are hoping
for or expecting more from the
club, with most of them hankering

striker, Smith is not and he does not think we
need any more players to win the league this season.
this tells me that the financial prudence we have extolled as prudent
for the
clubs future and
for the adherence to FFP is really a smoke and mirrors situation we
need a
striker (opinions differ to which one) we
need cover
for Le Coq (again opinions differ) and maybe we
need one other in another area of the pitch, but if we don't get them we wont be better than we were this year and we wont move closer to the real glory.
He is already 31 and some
clubs out there will pay a reasonable fee
for him, we
need younger
striker to compete with Lacazette.
Ozil — obviously this player has some superior skills but his posturing is hard to swallow when things aren't going well... love his link up play with Sanchez, so just imagine if Wenger gave a shit about the
Striker or right forward positions... I feel a bit
for him because he was liekwise given promises about our direction and they never materialized; that being said he
needs to grow up sometimes and find a way to handle the pressure a little better... I wouldn't get carried away about locking him into a much higher wage
for any length of time if we aren't planning to properly revamp the current
club
Sanogo
needs to go out on loan, Podolski should go
for his sake and the
club (Arsharvin mark II) and buy 2
strikers.
Two players battling
for the main
striker role at Paris Saint - Germain, it seems pretty clear that Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani are treading on each other's toes at the Parc des Princes, with rumours that the
club will pander to Zlatan's
needs and offload Cavani to a high enough bidder this summer.
Many fans of the
club would probably rather sign a support
striker for Torres ahead of any other transaction but a left winger could well be an important acquisition and maybe a squad player in this role in the form of Torbinskiy is all that is
needed as the
club still has the likes of Rieira and Babel to count on.
How many assists did Ozil have last season? If Arsenal had a clinical
striker last season we would've won the league. But of course our so called super sub and Mr. Stamina passed with flying colours. It's funny how people only look at his laziness yet forget about his other qualities. You
need to look at which outweighs the other. Some are also saying he's staying because no one is interested in him. That's funny. He could even go to Madrid next season and would even be their highest assist
for consecutive seasons. It's funny how we talk of him like he's nothing. How I wish he left last season to a top
club with clinical finishers. He's even wasting his talents here honestly speaking.
I think only barca real or Bayern can tempt those players away from leicester, they would give at least a year to the
club, but season after that they will move onto other
club depending on their form next season. As
for arsenal transfer i wouldn't want to listen to rumours as most of the times these rumours are just utter garbage.i want a certain rumour about Wolfsburg signing giroud to be true.Anyways if our idiotic manager has some sense left in him after an embarrassing season he should get a premium
striker which the
club needed for past 4 years. He
need to put his ego aside and his old philosophy of waiting
for players to develop.We
need already established players in every department of our team.Penny pinching has cost us just pay the damn money get the players.I get the feeling next season is going to be harder and we have less chance of winning cause man city have had 2 seasons without premier league and guardiola is gonna bring more quality and hunger to that team.
Spoiler Alert people, we are not getting anyone in the front
striker position OTHER than what we already have, there was a story in the star yestrday about the 250 million wenger is looking to spend on the likes of Marco Ruess ect ect and I really can not believe that after all these years the Prof will change his ways and spend all that money and evern if he was going to he
needs to pull his finger out as all the top players are being strongly linked with other
clubs, meanwhile we wait
for the brat Vardy to make up his mind when we know he is highly unlikely to come to us another summer of dissapointment
for us as wenger has already stated that Giroud will lead the line next season.
giroud, lecoq, are gud backups to hve in the squad but not a first team player
for a team wanting to challenge
for epl.coq has got to improve slightly on the ball but off the ball he is gud.everyone knows about giroud and I don't think a gud
striker is enough
for us.we
need a very clinical guy not a guy who will be going through dry patches coz thats guaranteed from a gud
striker.gibbs is tricky he is a gud option to hve on the bench but if we scout someone younger and better than him then I think we can sell him
for both the
clubs sake and himself coz he hasn't progressed as a player.what I find shocking is bellerin back up is jenkinson worth a team challenging
for epl?I don't think so and we should find an able guy there than fool ourselves and next season we pay
for mistakes again.
The selling
club is willing to let their
striker go because they
need funds to go in
for a «better» option.
But also the
club needs to be blamed
for not bringing in a top quality
striker — Immobile cost Dortmund the same amount as Welbeck cost us.

for Osimehn as a Nigerian, but what Arsenal as a
club needs now is not another young
striker to join the list of Welbeck, Akpom, Iwobi. . .

for this, because the
clubs greatest
striker of all times said it and now and actual teammate said we
need another option.

club should b weep before kick off... Have
needed a top quality
striker plus powerful DM
for three seasons... and still do
We are the most incompetent
club when u think we was playing 4-2-31 and we
needed a lacazette type
striker to complete the team then we change to 3 -4-3 which ment we
needed a welbeck type that's got finishing but instead brought lacazette lol it's a shambles welbeck is are best CF in a 3 -4-3 it's obvious so unless wenger is gonna go back to 4 -2-3-1 lacazette was a waste of money
for a
club that hates spending money
Striker I can understand - we will only get 1 if a big
club buys and someone is not
needed (then they can come to us) but what about a CB;
for god's sake there is enough quality.
Plenty of England's top
clubs are in
need of a
striker and would love to sign Lewandowski after watching him plunder an astonishing 31 goals in 31 games

for other potential
strikers whilst we await a decision from Vardy and although the
club doesn't want to rush the player into a decision, there comes a point where we
need to turn our attention elsewhere.
its soon back to playing, every tackle, shot, dribble, pass counts with no space, so
for me if we buy a talented animal in DM i would be happier then just buying
striker, i think against bigger
clubs we
need to wrestle with them in our half and catch them with counter attack which we seam to be great at
Lord Harris said Wenger is on the look out
for a world class
striker but would have to break our
club record and that the other
club would
need a replacement... so i'm just putting two and two together and thought wenger might be after cavani!
The only
striker that thrived at Arsenal in the last 10 years was Van Persie and he soon realised that in order
for him to compete
for the big prizes he had to move on.30 odd goals
for Manure the first season he is there and he wins them the league. With the form he was in and the team that he led in his last season it
needed 2 - 3 players and we could have won the title ourselves but that was Wenger and nothing has changed
for the positive since. We WILL NOT win anything big all the time he remains at the
club
Nothing like one underachiever blowing smoke up the ass of another... we know that Ozil has some incredible technical gifts, but to be considered the best you have to bring more than just assists to the table...
for me, a top player has to possess a more well - rounded game, which doesn't mean they
need to be a beast on both ends of the pitch, but they must have the ability to take their game to another level when it matters most... although he amassed some record - like stats early on, it set the bar too high, so when people expected him to duplicate those numbers each year the pressure seemed to get the best of our soft - spoken star... obviously that's not an excuse
for what has happened in the meantime, but it's important to make note of a few things: (1) his best year was a transition year
for many of the traditionally dominant teams in the EPL, so that clearly made the numbers appear better than they actually were and (2) Wenger's system, or lack thereof, didn't do him any favours; by playing him out of position and by not acquiring world - class
striker and / or right - side forward that would best fit an Ozil - centered offensive scheme certainly hurt his chances to repeat his earlier peformances, (3) the loss of Cazorla, who took a lot of pressure off Ozil in the midfield and was highly efficient when it came to getting him the ball in space, negatively impacted his effectiveness and (4) he likewise missed a good chunk of games and frankly never looked himself when he eventually returned to the field... overall the Ozil experiment has had mixed reviews and rightfully so, but I do have some empathy
for the man because he has always carried himself the same way, whether
for Real or the German National team, yet he has only suffered any lengthy down periods with Arsenal... to me that goes directly to this
club's inability to surround him with the necessary players to succeed, especially
for someone who is a pass first type of player; as such, this simply highlights our
club's ineffective and antiquated transfer policies... frankly I'm disappointed in both Ozil and our management team
for not stepping up when it counted because they had a chance to do something special, but they didn't have it in them... there is no one that better exemplifies our recent history than Ozil, brief moments of greatness undercut by long periods of disappointing play, only made worse by his mopey posturing like a younger slightly less awkward Wenger... what a terribly waste
Well your righ with met spend but in amount paid out
for players no net were 5th but i agree our champions league performances have been poor we had some tough draws and the premier league is more demanding then the other leagues in strwnght of competition and games played still excuses do nt win but that monaco loss left me shaking my head in cl we get theough the group but cant muster the strength
needed for knockout and we should be performing better were under performing
for the talent xhaka has frustrated me hes got the talent and plays well but cant hold focus in games he drops off and loses his marks our academy is doing well but yes it is tougher now to break in to the first team iwobi has done well but one or two seasons away from being there if he does turn himself elite ever has to score or he will just be another ox but i think its been a wake up call to the
club we finally have to act theres a wave of ideas to not only get us back to winning ways but become title contenders and i think give him the extension one year its a world cup year and that will also allow our players esp
strikers who been very poor this year realized its tough to play in englad and next year will have a better idea what it really takes to win here shore up some spots and depth and were in contention fail and the changes will happen but let him have one more year the fact were willing to spend shows me an upturn from the decline
We can not be sure but I strongly suspect that the
striker would not be keen to fight
for a place at Man City with Aguero or with Kane at Tottenham either so can you think of a Premier League
club heading
for a Champions League place that
needs a new first choice centre forward?
We don't
Need Stirling and frankly I would rather that money be spend on a world class striker NOT an upstart young kid who still has to learn his trade... we have Walcott, however on the subject of Walcott I just wish he'd stop being overtly greedy and sign the contract so that the transfer team can concentrate on brining in the New players we need NO wasting weeks of negotiation on a player who should be happy o play for the club with the wages he

The # 10m rated
striker still interests Wenger and even though Marouane Chamakh has arrived to help give Arsenal attacking options it is rumoured that the likes of Carlos Vela and Eduardo may be on their way out and therefore there may be
need for the impressive young Ivorian at the
club.
We are sorry if we seem ungrateful sometimes Admin, you are really doing a GREAT job making me especially happy and i don't know about any other person cause i might not comment very often but i visit this site every single day of my life to read comments from everyone and it really makes my day... So thank you very much and nevertheless, i personally am tired of reading articles of Alexis Sanchez now... I must admit i personally thought Sanchez was holding Arsenal to ransom before, until Wenger came out to say he has never asked
for a transfer request and i think the
club has made there intentions known that they don't want to sell him, not even to a title rival and i think that is why city are now going after mbappe, seems they are desperately in
need of a
striker and if they are that desperate they should fork out 80m
for Sanchez if they really
need him, I LIKE THE RISK ARSENAL IS TAKING AS REGARDS SANCHEZ..
Time
for some brutal honesty... this team, as it stands, is in no better position to compete next season than they were 12 months ago, minus the fact that some fans have been easily snowed by the acquisition of Lacazette, the free transfer LB and the release of Sanogo... if you look at the facts carefully you will see a team that still has far more questions than answers... to better show what I mean by this statement I will briefly discuss the current state of affairs on a position - by - position basis... in goal we have 4 potential candidates, but in reality we have only 1 option with any real future and somehow he's the only one we have actively tried to get rid of
for years because he and his father were a little too involved on social media and he got caught smoking (funny how people still defend Wiltshire under the same and far worse circumstances)... you would think we would want to keep any goaltender that Juventus had interest in, as they seem to have a pretty good history when it comes to that position... as far as the defenders on our current roster there are only a few individuals whom have the skill and / or youth worthy of our time and / or investment, as such we should get rid of anyone who doesn't meet those simple requirements, which means we should get rid of DeBouchy, Gibbs, Gabriel, Mertz and loan out Chambers to see if last seasons foray with Middlesborough was an anomaly or a prediction of things to come... some fans have lamented wildly about the return of Mertz to the starting lineup due to his FA Cup performance but these sort of pie in the sky meanderings are indicative of what's wrong with this
club and it's wishy - washy fan - base... in addition to these moves the
club should aggressively pursue the acquisition of dominant and mobile CB to stabilize an all too fragile defensive group that has self - destructed on numerous occasions over the past 5 seasons... moving forward and building on our
need to re-establish our once dominant presence throughout the middle of the park we
need to target a CDM then do whatever it takes to get that player into the fold without any of the usual nickel and diming we have become famous
for (this kind of ruthless haggling has cost us numerous special players and certainly can't help make the player in question feel good about the way their future potential employer feels about them)... in order
for us to become dominant again we
need to be strong up the middle again from Goalkeeper to CB to DM to ACM to
striker, like we did in our most glorious years before and during Wenger's reign... with this in mind, if we want Ozil to be that dominant attacking midfielder we can't keep leaving him exposed to constant ridicule about his lack of defensive prowess and provide him with the proper players in the final third... he was never a good defensive player in Real or with the German National squad and they certainly didn't suffer as a result of his presence on the pitch... as
for the rest of the midfield the blame falls squarely in the hands of Wenger and Gazidis, the fact that Ramsey, Ox, Sanchez and even Ozil were allowed to regularly start when none of the aforementioned had more than a year left under contract is criminal
for a
club of this size and financial might... the fact that we could find money
for Walcott and Xhaka, who weren't even guaranteed starters, means that our whole business model
needs a complete overhaul...
for me it's time to get rid of some serious deadweight, even if it means selling them below what you believe their market value is just to simply right this ship and change the stagnant culture that currently exists... this means saying goodbye to Wiltshire, Elneny, Carzola, Walcott and Ramsey... everyone, minus Elneny, have spent just as much time on the training table as on the field of play, which would be manageable if they weren't so inconsistent from a performance standpoint (excluding Carzola, who is like the recent version of Rosicky — too bad, both will be deeply missed)... in their places we
need to bring in some proven performers with no history of injuries... up front, although I do like the possibilities that a player like Lacazette presents, the fact that we had to wait so many years to acquire some true quality at the
striker position falls once again squarely at the feet of Wenger... this issue highlights the ultimate scam being perpetrated by this
club since the arrival of Kroenke: pretend your a small market
club when it comes to making purchases but milk your fans like a big market
club when it comes to ticket prices and merchandising... I believe the reason why Wenger hasn't pursued someone of Henry's quality, minus a fairly inexpensive RVP, was that he knew that they would demand players of a similar ilk to be brought on board and that wasn't possible when the business model was that of a «selling»
club... does it really make sense that we could only make a cheeky bid
for Suarez, or that we couldn't get Higuain over the line when he was being offered up
for half the price he eventually went to Juve
for, or that we've only paid any interest to
strikers who were clearly not going to press their current teams to let them go to Arsenal like Benzema or Cavani... just part of the facade that finally came crashing down when Sanchez finally called their bluff... the fact remains that no one wants to win more than Sanchez, including Wenger, and although I don't agree with everything that he has done off the field, I would much rather have Alexis front and center than a manager who has clearly bought into the Kroenke model in large part due to the fact that his enormous ego suggests that only he could accomplish great things without breaking the bank... unfortunately that isn't possible anymore as the game has changed quite dramatically in the last 15 years, which has left a largely complacent and complicit Wenger on the outside looking in... so don't blame those players who demanded more and were left wanting... don't blame those fans who have tried desperately to raise awareness
for several years when cracks began to appear... place the blame at the feet of those who were well aware all along of the potential pitfalls of just such a plan but continued to follow it even when it was no longer a financial necessity, like it ever really was...
Replacing Wenger with the wrong man could make things much worse
for the
club and so this is a decision that they really
need to get right and with the Prof said to have such a huge role at the
club he is supposedly set to have a big say in who will replace him, and I wonder if his former star
striker and
club legend Thierry Henry is being groomed
for the role.
The only blog in the blog - universe with Walcott LOVE is this one — it screams love
for Walcott and always in conjunction with Walcott being a centre - forward,
needs to be a centre - forward, should be a centre - forward, Walcott, Walcott, Centre - forward, Walcott is right to hold the
club to ransom so he can be a
striker, Walcott started as a
striker and is the answer to our prayers, Oh Walcott, at last he's playing as a stiker, now you'll see all this Walcott LOVE pay off....
They keep going on about this world class
striker we
need, these world class
strikers out there that some of us can't seem to see... So Aguero, Suarez, Benzema, Costa, Lewandowski are waiting
for Arsenal to save them from their current second rate
club??? smh
Awwwww I can hardly read all bro, seriously u could have made it simplier, s saying we had a terrible s Window is exaggerated, we fought to kip all d players we
needed to kip and sold d ones that e surplus to requirements, we added an elite
striker in improved our defence, that is not terrible in my own view, c considering our structure, we can never outspent the two manchester
clubs, judt like no
club in Spain will outspend d likes of Madrid and barca and no
club in France can outspend d likes of psg, the only bad match I have watched from arsenal this season was against liverpool, the playerd apologized and behold we r seeing a new attitude from, them, if winning six matched from 7 shouldn't give room
for optimism, what then can?
If we want to win the league instead of this two
clubs we
need to buy a superior
striker and in my opinion the
need has just trumped our
need for a defensive midfielder (Because i will trust Calum Chambers in that position any day — he has all the ingredients to succeed there)
I do think that both Sergio Aguero and Alvaro Morata are much bigger losses
for their respective
clubs Man City and Chelsea though, so with the football media reporting that both
strikers could be set to miss around six weeks of action, Arsenal really
need to keep the pressure on and hope it tells.
Best
striker at the
club for what we
need a
striker to do.
While some have accused Benteke of not putting in the same level of effort this season as he did last year due to his desire to leave the
club in the summer, Sherwood will
need to make the
striker realise that it really is in everyone's interest
for him to rediscover his scoring boots and start going on a bit of a run of form in front of goal.
At least according to The Liverpool Echo, who speaking in their role of
club mouthpiece today have come out to say that
striker will not be a position of
need for the
club heading into the summer.
let's be honest, however frustrating it may be to see the rich
clubs paying lots of money to get the «top»
strikers, whilst we have been hoping
for those gem players that nobody has heard of, come out of the blue, i think we still
need to respect the fact that Levy has been quite clever with the
clubs finances.
about time, something is amiss, especially when we have the likes of Walcott now qualifying
for the Fran.Jeffers Award
for non-playing I do wish M Grenouille would put an end to all the press speculation on transfers, it is obvious to me he
needs a BIG
striker and a BIG centre in order to compete on the on the search
for Tin Mugs I get a bit pissed off when i read «Le Rouge Hareng» about all the various «goings on», it's time M.Grenouille spilled a few beans and helped our nerves, we are, after all, what makes the
Club survive Regards to World - Wide Gooners
The overwhelming
need for Spurs this summer must surely be one or two senior
strikers but the press continue to link the
club with players in just about every other position bar goalkeeper.
The former Tottenham
striker thinks that Conte
needs to start implementing his plan
for the
club sooner rather than later if the Blues are to improve on last season's tenth place finish.
Already a bid of # 25m has been lodged
for the forward, who has been told he can leave the
club but only if a replacement is signed as the
club need three
strikers for next season.
I think we
need spain players with qualities, like Carzola
for example... A player of Carzola's qualities can easily catch up with our game not like Olivier Giroud that is taking a lot of time to adapt to the premier league game, so if i should select the kind of players we should be having i'll go
for 2
strikers which are Roberto Soldado of Valencia and Falcao who is out of our limit cos there're a lot of
clubs on him in which we know Arsene wenger is not the type of Man that compete when it comes to buying quality players so what i suggest is that Mr wenger should go to Spain and pack as much as he can pack into the squad and let them all play Spain type of football similar to barcelona's style of play which everyone knows...

United have also been linked to attacking players, despite the
club being top - heavy in that area but the
need for a
striker to take the pressure off Romelu Lukaku may be
needed, especially if Zlatan Ibrahimovic leaves the
club in the summer with LA Galaxy leading the race to sign the player in the summer.
However when the
striker was pressed whether he would like to stay at the
club next season he was adamant that he would try and fight
for a starting place — however he would
need to talk to Jurgen Klopp first.
