The batter should be smooth and runny, and you shouldn't see
any clumps of dry ingredients.
Be sure to be thorough, there's a tendency for
clumps of the dry ingredients to form.
Not exact matches
Use one and a half teaspoons to one cup
of milk, but it's better to mix it into the
dry ingredients as it tends to
clump when mixed into liquid.
If you find yourself in the same boat, with big
clumps of cocoa powder in the
dry ingredients that won't mix out, I would suggest sifting so you don't have any
