It's just hard to not be disappointed in
the clunky fighting mechanics, lack of online game play, and disregard for other 3.0 content.

The
fighting feels outdated, fairly unchanged from the older iterations, and while I get their attempt to stay true to the original source, it doesn't justify the
clunky mechanics.
Personally I extremely enjoyed Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain and judging from the demo Beyond is going to be my favourite QD game to date, probably in my top 5 this gen. I love the new controls, people seem to be confusing the word «
clunky» with «challenging» in reference to the
fighting mechanics.

fighting mechanics work, but the movement is very
clunky.

fights always proceed in the same manner, the guns have no recoil in comparison to PUBG and certain
mechanics are
clunky.
Boss
fights that wander too far from the core game
mechanics often feel out of place or
clunky — often because all - new
mechanics are not as well thought - out, balanced or polished as the core
mechanics.
Unfortunately, despite the striking
mechanics being vastly improved and more fluid this year, the submission and ground work feels slow and
clunky, severely slowing down a
fight — especially when your stamina is already partially depleted.
