All of my manual
tranny cars have done that in 1st which is why I use the
clutch at the same time I use the accelerator pedal, but none had the problem in 5th, so perhaps you just have a more severe form of that problem.
When the
tranny is cold (or cooler), it can have better grab with worn
clutches.
I was just curious if it is possible to test whether the job has been done right while the
tranny is off vehicle while simulation torque transfer and
clutch hydraulics?
E.g. can you manually or some other way be cranking the transfer shaft while using a hand - held (or pedal driven)
clutch simulation so that I know I did everything right before putting the
tranny back on?
If the
clutch let go in the process, you've probably not done a lot of damage to the
tranny / engine, but who really knows.
I need to know if the
tranny is shot or if this is a
clutch issue.
