The only thing bothering us
about this Vita version is the lack of any form of
co-op, undoubtedly the most entertaining feature of the PS3
game.

co-op games coming out that we're excited to hear

Recently we had the chance to sit down with Overwatch
Game Director Jeff Kaplan to talk
about the new Retribution
co-op mission.
As much as Left4Dead was a brilliant
co-op â $ ˜gun down the fast running zombieâ $ ™ type of
game and Resident Evil was a good classical zombie horror, The Walking Dead is the first
game which is truly
about the people and the personal conflicts.
Looks like that's
about it as far as
co-op games are concerned.
I know that's not something everyone wants to see - and I'm sorry
about that - but we had a backlog of quite a few
co-op games that needed to be added to the database and finally got a man on the job after slacking for months.

Where once developers moaned
about how hard it was to create
co-op games, now it's often the first thing they'll mention.
Nintendo might be churning out new
games quite slowly on their Virtual Console market (
about 1 - 2
games per month on average), but we are glad that some
co-op classics are making it onto the Wii U and 3DS scene; Double Dragon being one of them.
Moon Hunters also doesn't reward guest players with trophies on PS4 which is a bit disappointing in a
game all
about local
co-op.
I have talked
about the
co-op before but I will bring it up here again, because it is something I love in a
game and it appears to be well designed in Sniper Elite 4.
We're talking
about Double Dragon, a
game that is synonymous with
co-op; indeed, for many people, it was the first
co-op game they ever played.
We've only begun to build a strong community of
gamers,
co-op fans, and readers who want to know the latest news
about their favorite form of gaming.
The
co-op mode has its own
Game Center leaderboards, so those with high scores in other modes don't have to worry
about imbalanced leaderboards.
In particular I was particularly stuck by the comment
about defining what a
gamer considers bedrock functionality for
co-op gaming.
About the
Co-op Mode: it's actually a Nintendo Switch - exclusive features, and it can be played with a single Joy - Con per player (which means you only need one console and one copy of the
game to play with a friend).
Just don't expect a true horror
game; Dead Island, especially when playing in online
co-op, is more
about the fun and thrills than it is
about the jump - scares.
The concept is fresh, the mechanics are solid and everything
about the
game screams hours of
co-op entertainment.
I love the
co-op, the atmosphere and so much else that all I can think
about right now is diving back into the
game.
With an updated version of the
game, online
co-op, cross play between the PS3 and Vita and universal level and gun unlocks, players can enjoy the
game in just
about any way they want.
Nicholas: Certainly in comparison to a multiplayer
game,
co-op seems more appealing, but even then, it's that whole thing I mentioned before
about just wanting to take the
game at my own pace and playing alone that I like the most.
Here's what you get for your money: a bastardised version of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo - yep, that
game from 1994 - two new characters who aren't really new, a god - awful first - person motion control mode, a throwaway two - player
co-op mode, a colour editor, online play and that's
about it.

game that showcases what the Switch is all

The studio's project manager Erik Johnson revealed the bit while talking specifically
about the
game's
co-op play during an E3 presentation of the title, saying that cross-platform play is indeed something the developer is «gunning for.»
As deep as «Line Pirates promises to be, creating a Facebook
game is all
about the social experience, so it's a good thing that Spudnugget has made the title appropriate for solo,
co-op or competitive play.
But then that seems to be
about as deep as
co-op goes in
games these days, and for what it's worth blitzing the map as a team feels pretty awesome.

game built around the central concept of
co-op gameplay, we're expanding the series to new audiences without compromising the rich lore and fantasy of the Sacred universe,» is what Remy van Leeuwen, Brand Manager of Deep Silver, had to say
about this focus on
co-op.

about Alan Wake that makes you feel that
co-op will be a suitable addition to the
game?
I find it incredibly funny that PS3 fans can not find anything
about this
game to hinder it, so they make up something like «This single player experience - type
game doesn't have
co-op!
Pode is a
co-op puzzle exploration
game about two unlikely travel companions going on an exploratory adventure within a mysterious and magical mountain.
Likewise,
co-op in a
game like silent hill would remove a lot of the thriller aspects which the
game thrives on, same can be said
about alan wake and other «action adventure»
games.
Over the years I've often ranted
about supposed
co-op games that are only fun because you're playing with friends, and not because the actual gameplay is properly built around having several people working together, but Payday 2 is a true
co-op game in the sense that everything is built around people working and playing together to succeed.
Now don't mis - understand me,
co-op I guess could be done in any genre /
game but outside of shooters it doesn't automatically make sense, Alan Wake is a psychological action thriller, set in an open world
game where YOU play as a writer who's trying to discover the mystery of what seems to be your latest horror story which you can't even remember for some reason is now coming to life, in a small isolated town; oh and your wife has vanished too = Alan Wake himself IS the story,
co-op in this case would be redundant for a story driven type
game like Alan Wake since at its core its all
about YOU deciding where to go an «unlocking» the plot for YOURSELF.
It's the only good thing
about the ES Online
game... so people who moaned on for
co-op in Elder Scrolls, something which should NEVER be added, can buy the online
game.
With a lot more bang for your buck than typical word search books, plus the ability to do seamless couch
co-op, there's almost nothing bad
about this
game if you enjoy Word Searches.
New to the
game ported on just
about every
game console and toaster to date, players will finally be able to blast through Mimiga Island with a buddy in local
co-op thanks to a free update later this summer.
