Vicki decided she wanted it painted white, so we threw on
a coat of primer then a couple coats of Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint.

then given several
coats of primer (very often a white acrylic
primer called gesso) to seal it and prevent the oil from the paints soaking through the surface.
Her initial representational painting would be done from life, out in the open air,

How to use it: Ceramic is not porous at all, so sand the surface with 120 - to 150 - grit paper and clean before applying

coat of primer covered everything well enough to move forward with the paint, so Tuesday night and
then yesterday followed the
primer with the first and second
coats of paint!
I painted a
