I always love seeing what you do with your hot
cocoa bar for each holiday / season!
I know we are all itching for spring to arrive, but it is still cold enough to throw a hot
cocoa bar for a few friends.
Not exact matches
The
cocoa & chile combination is good
for more than just chocolate
bars.
You'll notice a few changes from the norm here, most noticeably that they're bright red, but food coloring isn't the only thing these
bars have in common with their namesake cake: natural unsweetened
cocoa is subbed
for part of the usual all - purpose flour and a touch of vinegar gives the base that signature red velvet tang.
The chocolate
bars I've given you a link
for say that they're 100 %
cocoa, so you'll need to add more maple syrup to the chocolate filling layer.
I layered a double batch of this
bar with a double batch of the
cocoa for coconut snack
bars, cut them and stacked them to create a checkerboard pattern.

For today's theme, «Christmas Cookies /
Bars», I decided to make hot
cocoa cookies because nothing warms me up more during the cold holidays than hot
cocoa.
If
cocoa butter isn't listed it is better to buy the smaller
bars intended
for eating and just use a few.
For example, I make my own chocolate
bars using dark
cocoa powder and honey, but they have to always be refrigerated to hold their shape.

75 % DARK CHOCOLATE 75 % was the perfect % of
cocoa for us and we thoroughly enjoyed this
bar, it was the perfect post dinner snack.
I made this sauce as directed It was good but I could still get that
Cocoa taste I mulled on it
for a bit took it out if the fridge put it in a sauce pan and added the following 1 tablespoon unsalted butter 1 tablespoon light corn syrup and the other 2 ounces of a 4 ounce giradelle bittersweet
bar of chocolate I let it melt and kept it stirred it is FANTASTIC The
cocoa powder taste is gone the consistency is perfect Love it Thank you

for them to maintain their shape (the coconut oil is all that kept it together)... this recipe is an answer to prayer!

cocoa powder, and other greens, etc..
so many protein
bars are high in fats and blow macros out of the water, so have been making my own
bars for a while now, 400g protein powder, 1 cup puffed brown rice, 1 cup processed bran, 1 cup rolled oats,
cocoa to taste, stevia to taste, spirulina to «taste» — lololol, 180 ml light coconut milk, a dash of water to help form a large dense ball.
They will have Peppermint Patty
bars using essential oils of peppermint and chocolate and
cocoa butter, Green Tea using essential oils, botanical extracts and grape seed oil, Oatmeal Honey which is fabulous as a facial cleanser / moisturizer and gentle enough
for baby, and more.
The general rule of thumb is the darker the chocolate
bar, the lower the sugar content, and the benefits of the
cocoa often outweigh the risks of sugar consumption
for healthy individuals.
Going to try it again but maybe sub out the
cocoa powder
for some coconut flour and see if it works as a sort of pumpkin pie blondie
bar.
If you have a sweet tooth and really need your fix, try swapping out that candy
bar for some real dark (70 %
cocoa or more) chocolate instead!
