I normally really dislike dried fruit, but

bars, and the
cocoa, they really are just delicious.
I layered a double batch of this

cocoa for coconut snack
bars, cut them and stacked them to create a checkerboard pattern.
Oh man... I made these
with Hershey's Special Dark
cocoa powder and chopped up a Godiva 63 % dark chocolate
bar, a few squares not the whole
bar, and added chopped up mounds... they were ridiculous!
Instead of the chocolate chips, I chop up and fold in half of an organic dark chocolate
bar (Pascha 55 % cacao
with cocoa nibs is my favorite).

with mint, salt and ginger on top of a wide range of

with Fair Trade Certified ™ chocolate chips and
cocoa, dates, almonds, walnuts and 4 grams of fiber.
I used Lindt 90 %
cocoa bars and melted the squares on a baking tray lined
with parchment, then placed in a very slow oven until just melted.

The Vosges Amalfi
Bar is comprised of white chocolate
with an impressive 36 %
cocoa butter, lemon zest (and lemon oil), pink peppercorns, and pretty packaging in which the peppercorns look like sequins and the lemon zest like brightly coloured streamers.
I use them
with Sliced Almonds and blend them into nut
bars using fresh and dried fruits as well as some coconut oil to bind it all together, and
cocoa powder to flavor.
I found that if I mix
cocoa powder
with coconut oil, vanilla, salt & sugar I can produce a chocolate
bar that is both tasty and healthy!
If you're going
with a two - ingredient
bar, just
cocoa and sugar, the origin of the beans is that much more important, as their flavour will be prominent.
You don't need to start
with the two - ingredient
bars, and certainly not
with the bitter, one - ingredient, 100 per cent
cocoa bars, even if purists swear by them.
